Mete and Fleury 4th pair/Taxi squad?
- Symba007

Fleury is another guy that needs to play in my opinion.

Mete, I don't care all that much at this point.

So I guess it all depends how much action guys from the taxi squad will see or not.

it's really hard to steal him the puck. all his linemates try in order to shoot the puck but he suceeds in keeping it along the boards.

10 back to back games with 4 games a week most of the time...they will have to rotate guys in and out of the line up for sure.

he has the same potential we're all waiting to see from drouin

Thornton was 2nd line in the Swiss league and first line on the Leafs. Spin away as we know you will...

Fleury doesnt he’s still on ELC but i believe Juulsen does and Mete too.
- Karine Hains

Teams will need depth this year, it will be huge. So we might lose a player or two.

But then teams will need cap space and they may not want players coming from Canada to the States during the season.

Should be interesting.

First time responder, but long time reader. Enjoy Karine’s insides and knowledge very much, just 2 points.

1) The GM’s only mistake this fall, is his continued faith in Drouin, Bryon is a much more useful player, if you need cap space , and Drouin isn’t playing well he is the guy you send down. Will send a huge message. We keep hoping he will become something he is not. KK’s rookie yr started to go downhill when he was paired with JD.
2) Love Danault, but if we have to extend him, then that means that the GM believes that none of the 3 young centres can replace him. Best case scenario, is that KK, Suzuki, and Poehling all continue to develop and become the players we all hope they can become. All three were better juniors than Danault so let them develop. Evans is a wild card. For next yr, we let Drouin and Denault go and resign Tatar, bring up Caufield. Tatar’s consistency will be hard to replace.

What a crock of poop even for you. He's 41 and the game has passed him by as often happens to people after 35 let alone 40

guess it will be more difficult the other way around. let's say a canadian team claims a guy on waivers from an american team. the player has to quarantine for 14 days before he can play. it's necessary in the pandemic context but it will advantage american teams in my opinion (or imo if you need a summary of my last three words).

Other than Ottawa (sorry for them), I only see good teams in that division. It won't be easy. But I like the changes Bergevin made.

One thing to worry about, is how long it will take for the chemistry to take place with that many new players. And not a lot of time to prepare (they won't even play before the season start).

I think you may be right with the strategy of going with Tatar, Danault and Gallagher and then you figure the rest out. At least those 3 guys know each other well, it was working fine so go with that at least from the start and figure out the rest.

Hopefully there won't be too many covid cases, cause they won't be in a full closed bubble like they were this summer.

I think this is a big reason for the taxi squad and to bring in guys like Frolik and Perry.

it's win win. either we do well and make the playoffs, or don't do well and miss the playoffs which won't matter because this is a fake season.

What's wrong with your hip? Anyway, your hips don't lie.

Nothing much. Drinking coffees on an off day as the world is going towards hell and a new NHL season.

Back to work tomorrow. It will be a 3 days of work only, so that's pretty cool.

I need to pm you about something.

That would be my guess. The only problem would be the waiver part, but Karine said it would not be a factor with Fleury and I trust Karine.

Lol, I said chicken.

He's supposed to be a depth player at best at this point. Just like Perry.

"the game passed him by the day he signed with Toronto, I know."

Play the victim, whine a bunch about made up and perceived opinions and continue to cry moar, it's a good look.
