Couple things. You do realize communism is an economic policy not a form of government, and that there hasn't actually been a true communist country?

Mittlefat has been the last one on the ice for every practice so far

Per Paul Hamilton

- Sabretooth9

I heard the other day he was the last one off the ice as he was putting in extra work after every practice... hmmmmm curious which is true.

This is good to hear! I still wouldnt mind stills on the roster. Would make this offense even harder to defend!

5 Wide would be freakishly fun to watch

- Sabretooth9

Still's was put on the protected Practice squad list this week which means he would be eligable to be activated on game day

This is the part where I hold my breath and hope the Deshaun Watson rumors are either completely false, or someone other than New England pulls off a trade for him.

never going to happen...

his dead cap space is $75,771,084 this year 67mil next and 51m the following year... there is NO WAY Houston could trade him and not be crippled by it.

I think he’s got two more years of college (this and next) then two in the A before theirs a big jump. Needs to keep adding weight (not small, but needs more for NHL action). He’s really effective at what he does, using his stick and being well positioned. Need to remember that D take longer to develop, and we have a solid foundation where we don’t need to rush him with the d prospects in front of him.

Good stuff 👍

I saw Mitts play against OSU when OSU was like 4th in the nation and not gonna lie was very excited for the Sabres future. He was the best player every shift and it wasn’t close. Kinda sucks it didn’t pan out, he looked real good live against a really good team that was much older then him
- SDSabre

I was also fooled by mitts. Looked like a can't miss top 6.

I'm actually thinking he breaks thru this year. Into the lineup anyways. Especially with locomotive going down 😟

Otherwise Rochester bound or tradesville

There's still time for Mittelstadt to be a serviceable NHL player. The hopes of him being an absolute stud, though, are pretty much gone.

disagree

vanek had 2 full years in college and a full season in rochester, in part due to lockout

broke out his second season in the nhl

using that as a baseline, casey needs to be serviceable this season and in position to break out next season

Definitely still hope. I just wonder what the heck happened. How could he fall off that much.

Even once he signed his ELC. He was looking good for his 6 games he played.

We're looking into it, you know, looking into... parting the Red Sea. Yeah maybe I'll do that next, part the Red Sea. I have many tremendous people who could... you know... Drop a large, a very large... Some would say a HUGE boulder into the Red Sea so we could see just what's down there. Maybe sea scrolls? I dunno. Maybe Atlantis? Wouldn't that be something? If I built the first hotel in Atlantis? I mean, people love me, but some people don't. And this election, well, some say I lost, some say it was stolen from me, who knows? So maybe I'll leave, maybe I will. And maybe I'll build a hotel in Atlantis, you know? No one really knows if it's there or not. Imagine that? Maybe I could be President of Atlantis? And maybe even for life? Maybe they would appreciate me, because I've been certified by MERSA have I mentioned this? So we're looking at new developments, new ways to see if Jesus did it, maybe I could be the second man to part the Red Sea? Wouldn't that be something?

lack of pp time
buried on bottom half of roster

shallow roster

losing culture

lack of drive

my guess is a little bit of all of the above

interesting, the article I just pasted, shows ralph saying he was about to get an earned call up before covid shut the season down

He had a chance to not suck for 2 years. Unfortunately he definitely was put in a terrible position and he also was handed a job. It seems like he's willing to put the work in but now he's going to realize the show moves on without him. Hopefully this is all for the best and the Sabres didn't ruin him. I dont see him on the team this year without multiple injuries though. Taxi squad? Probably
