It's a haggard take. Thompson is not going to the Amerks. Casey still has eligibility though. Putting him on a taxi squad seems useless to me. If Cozens pushes him out of the lineup, you need to send him to Rochester for the start of their season.

I think he’s got two more years of college (this and next) then two in the A before theirs a big jump. Needs to keep adding weight (not small, but needs more for NHL action). He’s really effective at what he does, using his stick and being well positioned. Need to remember that D take longer to develop, and we have a solid foundation where we don’t need to rush him with the d prospects in front of him.

Reminds me a lot of a slightly bigger Jared Spurgeon, obviously a lofty comp but more so in how he plays.

I saw Mitts play against OSU when OSU was like 4th in the nation and not gonna lie was very excited for the Sabres future. He was the best player every shift and it wasn’t close. Kinda sucks it didn’t pan out, he looked real good live against a really good team that was much older then him
