The sound probably wouldn't be as crisp or get as loud, but with how much you want to pay the difference is quite minimal - mr.peanut

As for the rumours that Pierre-Luc Dubois might be looking for a change of scenery, those were quite intriguing and fun while they lasted but they’ve now been put to rest thanks to a 2-year bridge deal that will earn him $10 M over the duration.

Insignia is Best Buy house brand, good devices.
I love my Bose speakers on a decent amp. Worth shelling out for over the long run.
If you listen to them everyday you're better off shelling out a few extra bucks.
JBL is good as well.
Keep an eye on the frequency range the lower the hz the deeper bass it can play and same for higher.
Low range of ~20 is good and 20000hz is the high end, the range a speaker has between numbers like a singer is lower lows and higher highs

At max volume I can start to hear my computer speakers at 31hz and off at 13000.
Dont leave them at max volume the whole time, just easier to pick up the low. |

Again, more pricey, but you mentioning Alexa got me thinking.
I have the Nebula soundbar. You can hook use your phone as a remote, and it'll allow you to change sound profiles. (Music, movies, etc...)
The sound is decent, and as a plus, easy to hook up to the TV for Amazon Prime, Netflix, etc...

And if you shop at best buy try 20percentoff at checkout
20PERCENTOFF - braidan
you need an amp for this though. but probably better than A similar priced Edifier, for which you pay for the integrated features and controls.

The Edifiers R1700 are probably a good deal for the priced paid considering it has amp+ control +wireless.Just be aware that a 4 inch woofer won't shake walls.
but if you can spend a little bit more, you can have significantly better quality, probably, and lower bass, which is good for movies
if you are not picky about sound it is ok.
personnally, i would spend at least 300$ on sepakers ALONE, but i am somewhat picky....
hope this helps! |

it's tough to find speakers of quality on the cheap - mr.peanut
it is true, though you can get quite nice speakers nowadays for not too much $$$.
the best is if you can build them yuourself!
