I know he was still playing big minutes even last year. He also hit a wall and struggled in the second half. His role needs to be reduced at this point, although a shortened season might keep him fresher for the playoffs.

At age 42, you’re likely to hit a wall and if you can continue playing, the player should expect shorter minutes. On the Flyers, I would expect Sanheim and Myers to take further steps and not depending on a player in their 40’s.

Chara last season averaged, 21 minutes a game, ended the season with 14 points and was a plus 26. I don’t know a single third pair player who does this. I’m not saying he’s Zdano Chara of ten years ago. Nobody is saying this but Chara would absolutely help out this team for one season in the top four. We’re missing a top four player, which is the only reason you consider signing him.

Morin never had a serious injury pre-Draft. He suffered a broken jaw in his draft-plus-two season. As a Phantom, he had after-season wrist surgery (didn't miss any games due to it). It was in 2017-18 that the real injuries woes began -- recurring psoas muscle issue that kept him out about 3/4 of the season -- then the first ACL tear in the playoffs. Last fall came ACL tear No. 2.

It’ll be interesting. His foot speed is what may hinder him. If he is healthy and brings that mean streak and can keep up. I can see him used against teams like the caps or isles. He has things to prove. Here’s hoping for the kid.

Just bad luck for this kid...tons of potential. Really shows how tough it can be to make it. He definitely has the talent and drive....sometimes that’s not even enough. I’m still pulling for him even if it’s not the Flyers that he ends up establishing himself with.

Morin moving to wing has got to be the stupidest thing I have ever heard, and believe me I have heard quite a bit in my life! The Flyers don't need another slow and void of skill forward, they don't need size and physicality up front. What they need is size and physicality on the backend, especially while killing penalties, and that is where I think Morin can help them the most. AND the Flyers need speed and skill up front! Need I remind everyone what we just watched in the playoffs? This Flyers team got bumped out by a superior skating and skilled team in the Islanders? The Islanders skated circles around the Flyers, and the Flyers could not score a PP goal, or hardly any goals actually. Carter Hart was the only reason they were in these games! I really don't understand this move, I really don't. I had to look at the calendar when I first read it because I thought for a moment it was April 1st, not January 1st! I don't know if its the water they drink in Voorhees NJ, but it seems no matter who works for this team, they get teleported back to the 1970s, no wonder this team hasn't won a cup in so long!
