The kid is a Flyer. He was vastly the consensus #2 pick, (which the Flyers were basically gifted with anyway). The GM and head scout that were here when he was drafted are gone. It is what it is. Stop complaining and maybe root for the kid moving forward.

Flyers held Gretzky to 5 goals in this game, I don't think they get enough credit for that. It could have been 52 goals in 39 games without a herculean effort.

Patrick was almost universally projected to be a first line center/borderline franchise player. That is indisputable regardless of hindsight.

That to me is the definition of an impact player.

He took his handle based on Pelle Lindbergh, who was a sunny, optimistic type by nature. But he should be PBrendl55 because Pavel Brendl was serially dour and pessimistic about everything.

My favorite Pavel Brendl story: He once said not even the Czech coaches or players like.him.

Nice story. He turned out to be a flop. That doesn't happen overnight, being disliked and lazy. Guess teams just cant shake the they can turn him around when you have that talent. Thought the Flyers did ok when he was part of that deal all things considered.

Just for depth I would consider brassard for cheap. But the kids may just be enough. Never mind. He signed.

When you plug Chara in the Caps are in pretty good shape for this year imo.

Have to consider covid and that he probably didn’t want to get stuck out West all season either.

Without revenue to share idk how the league expects some of these franchises to hold on with what they’re forking out long term in player salaries, building costs, etc.
