I still fail to understand why "illegal block in the back" is a penalty. Blindside block? Okay. But a block behind the play shouldn't matter and it negates big plays every single time, when the block in question usually has no impact on the play itself.
The montour trade and how they have handled him, has been kinda bizarre.
I think he's been unhappy from the minute he was traded from Anaheim.

I don't see it quite that cleanly. They've been cheap with him on 2 straight deals. It might not be that easy to keep him from checking out UFA. It's in his best interest.
Also, I don't expect a big leap in his play. I expect another decent year from him. This organization just can't make decisions. JB was bad about it, so far, KA is worse.

It's easy to keep Ullmark. Just overpay him in dollars and term just like they did Girgensons because Terry likes him.
Cozens played fine. Canada just kicked the poop out of Germany.
Let’s see him vs some good teams.
Not at all hating on cozens. He had a good game. I just want to see better competition.

His performance good or bad I’m not going to harp over. He’s shown enough over the course of 2 years to show he’s going to be a top 6 forward in the NHL
Just don’t get hurt.

Quinn plays on an All-star team and Ray Ferraro on a dozen occasions last night on the TSN broadcasts mention the talent coming through the Sabres system and specifically mentioned Cozens, Peterka, and Johnson (during the U.S game) not a single mention of Quinn.

Let's hope his league plays so he can get in some hockey this season. I assume he could play in the tourney next year, but not positive...hopefully he becomes a major factor then.

Although: if Ullmark has a really good year, maybe he stays because the Sabres are competitive and winning?
If he's all world, all the sudden, and the franchise guy, you pay him and let sam or hall go by bye
Also, 4k is bound to get a realistic shot at some point?
If management likes him, what are the supposed to do?

I still remember going to the theater in May of 1980 as a 14 going-on-15 year old at the Holiday 1 & 2 Theaters in Cheektowaga. I also remember sitting there and thinking at the time "I don't believe it. It's a trick...he's not really Luke's father". Guess I was wrong !
