They both had/have no playoff experience.

Goaltenders can get hot and win games. Sometimes the position looks overrated.

I'm not thrilled with the goalie combo, but would you rather have signed a high priced goalie like markstrom?
6 years 30 million.
Basically sam and ullmark or markstrom and ka boo hun

Hope you had a great Christmas, I'm out for tonight 👊

- Boss34

Goalies can get hot....but where are you going here? I can't imagine you just want to go cheap and hope JJ is the next Binnington. At some point, they are going to pay someone as a starter.

Markstrom is the 10th highest paid. Koskinen/Kuemper are tied at 20th at 4.5m. Merzlikens is 26th at 4m. Good chance we're paying someone more than 4m next season.

Flores says Tua is the starter next week

Dude is a good coach and after leading this team to a 10-5 record with 1 game left to play, I can't question him too much but idk about this move, especially if the Bills aren't resting their starters.

And we’d murder Miami with or without Fitz.
- sbroads24

Difference was 3pts earlier this year
And we’ll likely be resting starters for at least part of the game

Screw the Hail-Murray - That Ryan Fitzpatrick throw while getting his head twisted on one of the most heinous facemask's I've ever seen was the play of the year, imo.

Wow ! Just watched the highlights ... And like what the announcer was saying after the winning FG, I can't believe what I just saw ! What an ending. And you're right...how the hell did Fitz manage to get that throw off while his head was being ripped off ? Holy crap ! Amazing play ... but wow, that Raiders D ? WTF were they thinking ? You can see the corner let his man go (looked like he was looking for help, didn't see any, but kept peeling off for some reason). Loved the reaction of John Gruden on the sidelines after that completion. Hung his head real low ... and I can almost imaging him thinking "Why do I do this to myself every week...why the hell did I leave the booth."

Not sure many QB's could make that throw with their head being ripped off - maybe the bigger, stronger types (Allen, Big Ben when he was good, Mahomes), or someone with not as much talent, but with a HUGE amount of heart and competitiveness ... and that's Fitz.

This is what we’ve been missing in the organization forever

Hitting a home run on post first rounders

If Peterka becomes really good it will be absolutely huge

- sbroads24

so are you ok moving up to get him now?

chucky can go away

they take a knee at the 1 yard line and set up the field goal instead of trying to get the td

they deserved to lose on that alone

Fitz in for Miami

Tua is terrible. Check-down king.

- 3rd GM's the charm

Tua is fine (because he is in the bills Division).

The division teams keep messing up the QB position (besides a lucky Brady pick and Allen). What other above average QB has been in the division?

Bills take care of business Monday, rest starters next week, Miami starts Fitzpatrick, wins, come to Buffalo the following week in the Wild Card. That's full-circle for Fitzpatrick and Bills fans.
- 3rd GM's the charm

I don’t want to face a hot Fitz. He pulls things out, like last night, when you least expect it. He is a arrange, but has above average games all the time, then throws some picks.

Between Cleveland
Tennessee
Indy
Baltimore
Steelers
And Miami

I would easily rather play Miami then any of those other teams

They had an easy schedule and appears to be the most likely team to get bounced in the first round

This might be true. At this time, the coaches are setting the team up for success every week. Watching Josh grow each week makes this year so fun. I am not sure he is near his ceiling yet. The Dolphins have some lucky wins and easier schedule. If Fitz is playing in playoffs and they are losing he will try too hard and make mistakes. Go Bills! Let’s get that 2 seed!

Nope. It’s not the player it’s the philosophy

They were trying to move multiple picks to get into the 20’s for a guy who fell to 34.

And they reached like hell on Quinn.

I'm all 4 trading for kuemper or raanta.

My point was: this is a salary cap league, during a pandemic.

The big fish was markstrom at 6 x 6.

Sign him, lose sam or definitely not signTaylor hall.

Sabres are kinda in a bind, lots of money, time and effort into ullmark. Just let him walk without seeing his potential with a decent team in front of him ?

Gotta see this thru apparently?

Maybe reached, by 2 or 3 spots. Time will tell.
Someone floated the idea that there was a handshake deal as part of the Staal trade to leave Rossi on the table ic it played out that way. Sounds plausible, although I wonder why not just trade the draft positions.

Never say never, but I think if will be exceedingly difficult for the Sabres to execute the moves necessary to land either of them this season.

Sabres would most likely need to move a RhD to create the space necessary to bring in a $4.5m Goalie as it stands now. That probably necessitates a 3rd team for that trade 1st...then Sabres would need to package the proper form of prospects and picks to offer the Coyotes.

It's possible of course, but finding the right partners and pieces makes it very difficult.

If there’s any truth to that whoever agreed to it is an absolute clown.

Yes, let’s pass up on an 18 year who can possibly help us for a decade + so we can acquire a 36 year old for 1 shortened season.

I sincerely hope there’s 0 truth to it

Rossi would of been my pick. And dumb trade then if that was part of deal

Yeah but Staal is a HoF 2C and that's just like having Emmitt Smith back there so we should petition the NHL for the Stanley Cup now and prevent the season being played for no reason.

I was talking about next year. Feels like their decision has already been made for this year.

I think taking Ullmark and Montour straight into UFA was crazy, even in a pandemic. I don't see either of them being here next year.

I promise I’m not Tony Romo’s burner account.

He seems to agree with my football takes though.

It’s uncanny like the X-men.

The montour trade and how they have handled him, has been kinda bizarre.

I think he's been unhappy from the minute he was traded from Anaheim.

Local guy. I see his family at the games a few times.

Ullmark - good, sabre next year
Ullmark - not good, not sabre next year

I'll sound like homie here, but tpegs likes ullmark 😉
