Buddy, I was responding to a comment about how we could really use Larry this year. Check a page back.

You're on the record as a staunch Girgensons and Okposo supporter. Surely Curly and Moe can overcome the loss of Larry. Sheahan will be a fine Shemp

The LOG line was really good defensively
Idk how they’ll be with a different center

And i NEVER said either was “indispensable”
And neither did anyone else

Your over exaggerating is pointless
And blaming the 25th place finish on Larsson,
is even more of that ridiculousness

You’re being ridiculous

Moving the goalposts doesn’t make u any more correct

And it’s YOU who can’t stop talking about “Larry”

Also....
who EXACTLY said Girgs & Okposo were “indispensable” dude?

You’re literally just making crap up
Why?

- jdfitz77

Fitz- The "LARRY" talk is one of the funnier jokes on here.
We all know what Crags is talking about. A "Larry" is like a "karen".

Larry ) - auguably replaceable 4th liner with very little offensive talent. Main responsibilities include - shutting the other team down.

They aren’t “my boys”
They were 2/3 of a good defensive line

It remains to be seen if Larsson can be replaced
by Lazar, or Sheahan or whoever

Me recognizing that “Line Chemistry” matters doesn’t mean i don’t have faith in Girgs & Okposo
What I’m saying is that i don’t have faith in Larson’s replacement

Regardless,
putting words in my mouth & exaggeration is certainly not warranted

We don’t find the same things funny sir

And Crags isn’t “joking”
He has genuine disdain for all parts of the LOG line, much like you with Sam or Sbroads with Risto, and so on

The vendettas you guys carry against players is beyond absurd to me

Seriously? He's great at it.

Look at all that time and space!

We've been a losing franchise
Easy to target everyone that's been here for along time
They deserve it.
I feel that girgs and okposo at least try their best, which is a sad low standard for professional athletes.

I think asplund Is gonna Larry his way into the lineup possibly. 😉

Just bc it’s “easy” doesn’t make it right
Look what happened when everyone targeted ROR

It’s like ppl here can’t figure out that correlation & causation are 2 completely different things

And i hope you’re right about Asplund,
he’s looked decent for the most part
But i don’t think the Larsson role is something a young player can easily slip into
Playing against other teams’ top lines every shift & performing well is quite the task....
so we’ll have to just see what happens

Finding “replacements” for guys playing well in hard roles is just not something i take for granted

I dont have disdain for those players. I'm sure they're both fine people. I have disdain for the Buffalo idol worship of try-hard, lunch-pail types who aren't really any good while not realizing what wins in professional sports is talent.

Thankfully the Bills now understand this and have assembled a talented group of players who can actually win, not a bunch of teddy Nolan try hards

I think larrson is replaceable.
We have a full line of new talent, is would cut down his workload regardless. 1 year 1.5 million shows us that he isnt highly thought of.

I really like our lineup, prospects and coach/gm.

Need some better goaltending. Hopefully ullmark or an upgrade

Well my Grandfather started it and my Uncle just kept it going after my Grandfather past away, and know hopefully my son will keep it going. Have had a lot of good times in that Stadium. Grew up there going since I was 7. My Grandfather was the President of the Bill's backers for awhile back in the day, actually honored him on the field for it, had a big party in the Kelly suite.

No team has 4 “scoring lines”
Do they?

We don’t have a Bergeron or an O’Reilly(😢) that can play a strong 2way game,
so we NEED a line that’s defensively responsible

Maybe Eichel could do that?
But with the lack of secondary scoring we’ve had,
he’s needed to stay as focused on offense as possible

U really think playing CjSmith-Mitts-Tage in place of the LOG line would’ve actually helped?
They’d have gotten smoked defensively

Is it possible to build a team without a LOG line?
OF COURSE
But we just DO NOT have the proper players yet to eliminate it (LOG line) as a necessity

Here’s the difference though

You “think” Larsson is replaceable
But we already “know” that line was very effective

Thinking & Knowing are 2 different things

It just remains to be seen if a young kid like Asplund can take on such a difficult & important role
I hope you’re right, but we just don’t “know” yet

Larry hockey failed and they moved on from one of them. If the other two are all you say they're cracked up to be, we should be in tip-top Larry shape.

Thankfully we'll have a real 2nd line this year so they should be playing a lot less

No, it didn’t
We had 2 lines that played well last year & the LOG line was 1 of them

More BS exaggeration from you

The “failure” of last year’s (and previous years’) team was NOT our good defensive line
It was having no secondary scoring from the other lines

I get that u wanna build a team without a LOG line
But we don’t have the proper talent to do that

Larsson's role would be less important this season.
Less ice time. = more Sabres talent

We sucked , changes were/are neccessary.

If larry had such a irrereplaceable role, why didnt other nhl gms recognize this? Pay him well and with term?

I know we can do better. Plus eichel has evolved defensively and will play more than any forward in the nhl this season. #ralphhockey

And we signed stahl
And asplund
And cozens possibly at center
And fatty mc landstat

I'm really not interested in litigating the failures of last year's team. The log line was the 3rd line by usage (in part due to horrible roster construction) and they didn't score enough. They were part of the problem and now one of them is gone. Hopefully the other two work with whatever new Larry they get. I hope they don't play as much as they did last year and I doubt they will.

This team should have actual talent in the forward lines now so we don't have to sit through unwatchable hockey from that line for 15 minutes a night

U need at least 1 line that can play heavy defensive minutes
Not recognizing that is foolish
