Gm3

2019-20 season

Corry perry stanley cup bound team
Regular season 5 goals

Zemgus girgensons non expanded playoff team (25th)
Regular season 12 goals.

That's why 1 guy got paid well for 3 years in his prime and one old guy caught on with a team just before camp, for league minimum .

Maybe 🤔

Starts at the top

Everything starts at the top . Failed leadership leads to failure.

Fortunately the Buffalo Bill's have great committed ownership.

Good stuff ion

A+

Baker wasnt just bad yesterday.
Lost to the jets, hasnt made the playoffs in his 3 years. Currently anyways.
Excuses about player personnel aside, he fumbled that game away. Fumbled the playoffs away possibly.

Josh allen playoffs last year and this year. Fact.

I know it's hard to catch the Sabres live when your out of state. Fans and scouts absolutely see more in person, otherwise the boxes wouldnt be packed with scouts at the trade deadline.

You , your giant tv and giant brain watch what the camera shows you. Period

I'm not saying I know more than others, as I have an opinion like other average fan's.
I'm able to see more of the game (live) and able to watch what happens behind the plays ect. Off camera.

Scouts would watch the Bradentonscout1961 version if they didnt see more in person, wouldnt they.

You have room on your couch for don Luce?

- IonSabres

Thank you. I would dare say, from having gone to many, many games over the years and being a former STS, that 95% of the fans in the seats watch the Jumbotron to see what actually happened after a hockey play...good or bad play.
Yes, we miss things away from the play, most notably the start of altercations behind the play. On the flip side we get to hear what the announcers at the game have to say, and watch the replays several times. I'd say the good and bad average out...in seat fans miss the small things replays show...hence why they watch the jumbotron. Tv viewers miss the bigger picture.
Period.
Good on you for paying to watch the on ice crap that has been the last 8, 9 years.
Hopefully Girgs has 13 goals this season so you get your money worth!

Don is a guy I would have lots of time for...good guy...smart.

The fact that anyone thought he would be a quality NFL QB is a joke. he should have been like a 4th rounder at best.. not a 1st rounder. Ohio State hasn't had an NFL quality QB in forever.

Any taxi squad guesses ?

I think you must have 1 goalie, so that's probably Tokarski. Maybe Johansson ?

Mitts, Borgen, Davidson, Quinn (for 9 games ?) ? Maybe Bryson ?

Personally, I want Mitts on the regular roster instead of Rieder, but I don't think that's going to happen.

This is why you're a top poster in my opinion.

You hit hard with facts and opinions. I can absolutely respect your opinions day in and day out. Agree or disagree.

Good stuff, although I've been known to head home after the game and watch the game that night to see what I missed. Basic average fan stuff.

Regardless: seats in the 300's are excellent spots to view the whole game. Especially the lower few rows from behind the net.

Matter of fact I'm in a row with Adam buffalo's (poster) aunt and uncle. Been friends for years. Small world.

The games are about seeing friends and socializing before , during intermissions and after the games.

Yes. League minimum for a former 50-goal scoring veteran who's been in the Stanley Cup finals what, 3 times now? Yes. I would take that over Girgensons right now for 2.2 million per. Perry would bring way more to the team and can actually skate. Zemgus and his 12 goals got us nowhere last year and he was one of the worst PK'ers.

Should we sign Wayne Gretzky? Former 212 point player?

I agree that 1/3 the price is definitely a deal for perry vs. Girgensons.

Ufa in their prime vs. Old dude still trying to stick around.

No way perry would sign here. Nor do we have room with the current roster.

I'm sure we'll re-live this discussion throughout the season.

Experience, especially Stanley cup champions are important if they still have gas in the tank.

Veteran League minimum = gas tank on E

Something is gonna have to give with the OHL and junior teams because like Quinn he will need a place to play and keeping him past his 9gms shouldn't affect him going back to junior's when there season does start if it does.

Actually I disagree. They are doing better than I thought they would this year.

The defense is actually good.

Dwayne Haskins was a joke of a draft pick. Which Ron Rivera obviously didn’t draft

Rivera is turning that team around. I guess that’s my point

Alex Smith will be back this week so they should get competent QB play.

Should be enough to beat the Eagles and win the East.

They could also be a team that crashes somebody party with that defence and running game in the playoffs if they happen to get there

Congrats. Perry is how old now?? 36 and had 21 points in 60 games

Yeah we aren’t missing out on anything.

Stop crying about girgensons. You are like a clingy ex Gf you won’t let go. Get over it and move on

Yup, agree...being there is more fun...being home is more convenient. Having lived in Rochester ror 25 years beginning in 1991, the trips to/from the games became more of an issue on several fronts. Similar now from Lakewood Ranch to Tampa...the getting out and drive home is a pain.

I shared 1st Row of 300's at center ice for years with my brother...and agree that I loved being able to see the play develop from that vantage point. Before that we started with last row of Oranges in The Aud and moved our way down over the years...think we ended up around the 3rd row oranges before moving to The Marina. Good memories!

Ullmark
Hutton.

They should score enough but we’ll need Ullmark to really improve to get a top 4 spot in the division we are in.

As for the bolded. Ralph is going to overuse Risto, so why not see if he and Dahlin can produce some offense and let McCabe/Jokiharju act as the shut down pair

This arrangement makes sense to me as well.

A part of me really wants to see this too:

Hall-Eichel-Cozens
Skinner-Staal-Thompson
Olofsson-Eakin-Reinhart
Girgensons-Asplund-Okposo

Asplund hopefully being a poor mans Larry. Lazar fits there as 4C as well.

World Juniors update:

Peterka and Germany take on Slovakia at 9:30 tonight. Huge game for both teams as they look to stay alive.

New lines at Canadian practice today:

Holloway-McMichael-Cozens
Quinn-Byfield-Pelletier.

if you have a luxury tax, all the big time owners will be spending like crazy and you will see it revert back to the early 2000's where teams like the rangers, leafs, habs etc spend to insane levels

at least 2/3 of the teams would spend at the break even point and use the tax collected as their profit and the league would be much more unbalanced then it currently stands IMO

- homiedclown

I think people are forgetting that the Sabres would in all likelihood be one of those teams
