Also not sure, how many of you noticed this, but Tessier is back talking hockey with EK.
I loved Tessier as the Jets blogger. |

I was really hoping that we could have signed Cory Perry. Former 50 goal man and MVP and he’s the same age as Wheeler and Stastny. - TheUltimateJet
Perry also never hit the same highs as them, and plays a style that lends to a rapid decline.
Corey Perry really shouldn’t have won that Hart, with the benefit of hindsight |

The common person actually reads Steve Simmons? Usually you just see him getting absolutely dunked on by other writers for talking out of his ass on twitter - Rexypoo
Nothing common about me. I don't do Twitter, so I wouldn't know. Have a nice day !

You are right, winning the Hart trophy, Rocket Richard trophy, and being a part of a Stanley Cup Championship winning team is nothing compared to what both Stastny and Wheeler have ever accomplished. |

Further to this:
Adam Lowry (age 26 stats): 49gp 4g 6a for a total of 10 points for a whopping .2ppg
Corey Perry (age 34 stats): 57gp 5g 16a for a total of 21 points for .34ppg
If Perry has had a steep decline, wonder what Lowry's is going to look like |

Check out the ppg stats of Beaulieu, Poolman, Sbisa, Kulikov and Niku from this past season. |

Just give me one hint, are they better than the .2ppg?
Perry also does a great job sticking up for his teammates. The guy is a pain to play against and would have given the Jets that extra element. Great player to draw penalties. |

What would Lowry's point total have been over a full 82 game season? I get the season was shortened but that's what we'd normally look at and make comparisons based on.

On a full 82 game season he would have accumulated:
6.69 goals and 10.04 assists for a whopping 16.73 points.
But you have to remember that according to Rexypoo all of his 6.69 goals would be above replacement whereas Kyle Connor's projected 43.89 goals would all be below or at replacement level. |

You’re really comparing two entirely different llayers at wildly different stages of their careers using point per game numbers? Okay?
And you do understand that there is more to hockey than individual goals scored? Connor’s usage and defence rob a lot of his punch.
Look at Patrick Kane. Unbelievable skill, but has the impact of an average 2nd line forward. |

I do know that the team that scores the most goals in a game wins.
I have yet to see a player on a losing team say: "We lost the game, but gosh darn it, we won the advanced analytics battle". Which by the way Lowry cannot even say, he's been abysmal advanced and regular stat wise for the last 3 years. |

Who do you guys see us bringing in on player tryout contracts. I can see Hamonic and Bowey as both may already be in winnipeg? |

I would love to see Madison Bowey.
Morrissey and Bowey reunion would be amazing!

Looks like Mr. Roslovic may no longer be interested in remaining a Jet.
I wish I could say I didn’t see this coming |

Easy, this happens every year all over the league. Barzal and Dubois are both still unsigned and much bigger names than Roslovic
Most things you complain about being a “Jet franchise” thing are actually quite common around the NHL. |

Can't blame him for not coming to camp without a contract... |

Yeah he's not too good against other teams top lines. Got to give Maurice credit for shielding him from elite competition. I guess him preventing fourth lines from scoring (lines that cannot score in the best of circumstances) is a skill that should be celebrated. |

You really just choose to hate Lowry for no reason, huh? He’s never been a problem, for the team or his linemates, at any point in his NHL career. |

Considering his agent went with the blunt “trade me or give me a contract” as opposed to the nice and polite “we’re just working on the details”... doesn’t seem like a happy family scenario |

He's been mediocre at best and being played too high in the lineup with too many minutes a game has been a detriment to his linemates and this team. |

Should just sign Hamonic and Hutton to contracts, forget the PTO's AND sign Roslovic to a two year bridge deal, silly to trade him. |
