JB does like doling out picks.

Scouting will be difficult this year for some.

Maybe Calgary took all the Canucks this year as payback for us stealing Weisbrod

Most likely not. If he does manage to crack the line up somehow it will not even be 20 games before he is injured. Can we not just move on from Baertchi?

After he silences the Podkolzin top 6 crowd....not a moment before.

Thx Carol

Sven faces not only competition given he is in the top 6 & not so suited for 3rd line. Also faces cap decisions to overcome. Green will expect him to force him to get played. It’s his last shot to make the team & needs to stand out in all facets.

Why do you think this? Gaudette isn’t exactly a defensive dynamo, and he’s the 3rd line C. Why is the 3rd line required to be a shutdown line when you have Beagle, Sutter and Motte on the 4th?

Not to mention key defensive stalwarts like LE and Roussel.

I agree it should be a team strategy to play better defence. Not just the 3rd line.

The 4th line is the mentor line.

I just don’t like the Narrative that if he (or any player) doesn’t make whatever line, they can’t play whatever other line.

Having the strongest line up is best. Best overall players need to be in the line up.

Zlodeyev's team came back from 2 goals in in the final minute of the game and won it in overtime.

No points for him.

He plays quite a bit like Podkolzin

Edmonton, Calgary, Vancouver & Winnipeg are so close IMO it’s pretty much a toss-up as to who finishes ahead of who. They all have specific strengths and weaknesses. It could be argued Toronto is much better but in my mind they don’t stand head and shoulders above the other four aforementioned teams, only slightly.

Yup.
I'm looking forward to the 10 pages of Booner telling you that you are wrong pumping the Leafs tires.

I am not sure where I stand with the Leafs . They did lose some speed when they dumped salary. They did get a lot older also but what will Thorton bring?

Bogasian and Brodie in and Barrie and Cici out is a bit of a push.
