Better to trade down a few spots and pick up another pick. Make JB earn it.

Here's a solid fact, JB's not good at obtaining picks.

So, what you're saying is middlesix? My original talking point with Vantel was based on top 6. I thought you were agreeing with that. Sorry.

- Load Management

My point was Loui played the most games with the Horvat line. He scored 8 goals and 3 or 4 of them were empty net. The bar is not set that high to win that spot. Benning also said twice now that it looks like he will play with Bo.

I feel he can handle the duties and I expect him to score 5 goals only his first year. I am locked in on my statement of him playing on Horvats line. It may take him two weeks to get there but he will get there.

I don't see him playing on the top line, not this year, but I do see him playing on both the third and second line.
Vantel said second line, I agree with him that he's built to play like Horvat and I could see him there this year. I say middle six, but top 6 is the overlap. No hard feelings

Who say's it has to be (one) player? Or that there's not other picks/prospects involved? Try to think outside the box pal.

Did I ever suggest this was a likely scenario? Perhaps you should get back into the Orca debate!

- VanHockeyGuy

Oh course, Zak, Rathbone, Raymond and 2nd should get a top 10 pick!

Let me put it this way. I don't like the odds of JB EVER getting a first round pick, let alone top 10!

When you're a top playoff team like we are, we'll probably be dealing high picks again for the playoff run.

I don't know man, giving up a first for Miller is stellar.
2nd for 17 playoff games is stellar.
2nd for a top 4 D is stellar.

I'd say to trade more of them for non prospects, seems more hit the last couple years then miss.

Was never in the Orca debate.

Give me an example of what JB can trade without hurting the team and acquire a top 10 1st?

Sure, great deal. My point is the likelihood of JB acquiring one (ever) is slim to none.

Tanner Pearson ++, coming off a great season, he's a UFA after this season who JB will probably let walk. Not sure on top ten though.
- VanHockeyGuy

I’d hope he lets him walk. Can’t be trading one of our few top 6 wingers

Lol just read the Flames also tried to sign Sautner before we snapped him up. Those (frank)s 😂

Cool. I'm of the thinking that someone will step up and fill that 2nd line role beforehand. It's too important with games meaning more. Injuries will probably dictate when the kid gets to move up the lines, but he's bottom 6 otherwise. It's the Travis Green way.

Treleving has built a pretty good case for his own dismissal.

Basically discredited his own scouting and player development departments by routinely dumpster diving the Canucks free agent bins.

It’s becoming quite comical. He worships JB and Aquilini apparently 🤦🏻‍♂️. I imagine he is fired after Flames fans realize just how bad the Tanev and Marky contracts are

Haha I know. I also thought your question about waivers and quarantine was a good question .
