Getting ahead of yourself aren't you? Kids at the world juniors isnt a successful NHL rebuild.

Just remember all that passionate arguing you did about the Leafs doing it right and the Canucks blowing it yet the Canucks have had more playoff success that T.O and they are a mess....

I think that’s Sandro from ‘Wicked Tuna’, bluefin must be swimming towards him.

So what can be done to change this?

Replace humans with machines? Analytics would be easier to track and produce as well.

JT & 40.5m in 4 F’s with humongous bonuses.

Any Dubass could do that

Yeah, try that with a single ratio mooching reel or fly reel like we do when they charge the boat. My heart stops until I feel tension on the line again.

Just reading the Kings could have as high as eight kids at the World Juniors; you know, they tore it down without trading their captain and best player (Kopitar) and their second best player in Doughty.

Vantel always insisted the Canucks needed to get rid of the Sedins to rebuild

- Pacificgem

How many kids that play in the WJs never amount to anything in the NHL?

A lot.

Couple of Canucks examples. Rodin, Kristoffersson, Schroeder, Jensen, Forsling, Virtanen, Hodgson,

I’ve got an old Peetz reel we use on occasion, it’s a blast but your success rate for landing a fish is obviously far less.

My argument against the Leaf's rebuild was always that they blew their wad too early. Instead of trading a 1st and a 2nd for Freddy 5 Hole and continue to trade away high picks, they should have just signed a goalie and kept their picks and draft quality in all positions. The laughing at his envy lead to Lefty losing his poop on me a couple of occasions....

I get the Freddie deal but it was too much.
JT was poor asset/cap management.
Domino effect on other contracts
Unnecessary & too soon.
Dubas couldn’t survive in another market.

Look at the big 4 bonuses he gave them

Um...I simply stated they have a lot of kids in the World Juniors, I never inferred they’re going to be tremendously successful at the NHL level because of it, it just reminded me that they’re in a rebuild.

I call BS, although I do vaguely remember an Andersen conversation. My points were always about utilizing the NHL draft, and how I wanted Benning to utilize it, they were never about how to perfect a complete rebuild....your move

I would not count on ol Vantel coming back. I have been skimming through the comments for the last 10 days and my personal opinion is that some of the dumbest fans on the planet live here.

There are about 4 or 5 posters that bring news or that have good insight but for the most part it's the same old sh1t day after day. I am not knocking it if the six of you are happy telling each other day after day Benning is dumb even though the team is jumping in the standings then who am I to interfere .

I do notice a number of posters that don't come here anymore but that is okay you do have your gang all assembled.

Louis Eriksson was brought in here soley for one more year. To extend the Sedins whom you all cried for "One More Year" . I also warned you and your boys about giving Sven more than 2 years and more than 1.5 mil . You said he had 17 goals and was worth 3mil before he signed. Same as Jake this year should have got 1.5 and again you said he is worth 3.

Canucks have assembled a good team this year and are cap friendly. They did everything you and the gang asked. Walked away from long term Markstrom and Tanev . I remember you all saying you rather sign Jake over four yeArs of Toffoli but now you guys are screaming cap issues. You also demanding for tall players but probably wept when Stecher left , I was not reading sh1t in here back then so can't confirm.

Canucks still have about 5 mil in cap space they can have if wanted but probably won't.

Do I want to be involved in the conversation in here regularly? NOT A FUKEN CHANCE Life is too short .

In your argument about keeping picks, you flip flopped on trading a 1st and 2nd for Freddy. You and a couple of Leaf's fans argued in here that it was a good move. You eventually lost your poop because of me accusing you of flip flopping over and over.

I told you it wasn't a race. It was about quality in multiple positions. You thought drafting some forwards was enough... well it wasn't. Meanwhile in the time that has passed, Canucks drafted a great center, a good winger, an elite defenseman and one hell of a goalie with more coming down the pipeline and some depth players as well.

You continue to flip flop on this. The Leaf's are an example of not drafting enough....

Your move....

Hodgson played over 350 games and was 1st and 2nd in scoring on the Sabres before he left due to injuries. His D game sucked no doubt but this "bust" narrative about him from some is hilarious. He simply didn't live up to the hype and was injury prone.
