Helping cozens and working with the rookie will make me like him more. I can definitely see them playing well together.

Serious question as you are a serious Girgensons fan: why did he get moved to wing? I dont remember him being bad at center. Faceoffs? I feel like he should be given a shot at a bottom-6 center job regardless

It's a good question. Ironically, it's very sam like. Drafted in the 1st round as a center, but coach after coach really doesnt give you a second look there?

Taxi Squad rules will be similar to assigning players to the AHL. I'm guessing NHL (23 man roster) or Juniors only for Quinn and Cozens.

What will be interesting is if the WHL and OHL seasons keep getting delayed, will this change and they allow these players to play in the AHL/taxi squad this season.

What I don't understand is that reports tonight say taxi squad is 4-6 players. Does that mean a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 6? As in, they are required to travel with at least 4 extra players in case roster players test positive for Covid?

Otherwise, you want to pay and play players to be active in the AHL if possible. I could see the Sabres might want to travel with 3rd goalie at a minimum.
