They need to get someone in case Hutton can't win you a game.

i don't really dislike him, moreso a dislike for the pedestal he was placed upon and a bloated belief that his contributions the two years prior were regarded as meaningful

Not in a 56 game schedule. If he's decent, he'll get 15. If he's awful he'll get 10 or fewer. Ullmark can play 45+ if necessary like the year Lalime sucked and Miller had to play every game

I think what you laid out is ideal, however, there is likely to be a ton of back to backs against the same team. If Ullmark is playing well and is up for that heavy load of back to back playing night 2 against the other team's backup then great but if he starts to falter we will need Hutton in a big way.

depends what version of Carter shows up... he has had stretches where he looked decent. and then there was the end of last season where the Zamboni driver would have been a better option.

Hutton is a streaky guy like Biron. Last year he had 2 shutouts and 7 games with a sv% above a .950

He also had a bunch of ultra poop games among the other 13. He could steal a game against the Islanders and then let in 5 against the Devils

I think you were spot on :

Hutton 5-4-3 = 13 out of 24 points.

He had a 12 game winless streak after an 8 game winning streak and in those 12 games we scored more than 2 goals 4 times lol. We let in more than 2 in 10 of those games. If we could of scored and played defense we would of been a much better position but yeah blame the guy who can't score or defend the other players.

2- during that winless streak, he gave up 4 or more goals 8 times- and in 7 of those games it was 5 or 6 goals that he gave up

It's amazing how inept this team is all the time

I think it's fantastic that Adams got us an 87 year old 2C for a year, but goalie was far and away the biggest need. We had Cozens to potentially play center and Reinhart can play center.

And gave up 4 goals in another one

He had a handful of good games for us last year,
but just way too many games where he was awful & we had no chance bc of him

I just can’t trust that kind of inconsistency

Sure, secondary scoring and better defense would have helped as well.
