McManus is very good from 50+ as well.

In Denver you can kick 60 Yards with room to spare.

Could be a prop bet there for you betting on Bass to hit one from 60+ On Saturday

- Pegullaville

I am still studying the prop bets, gonna add them to the mix next year

it would make an interesting bet

Hey man I’m just telling you the honest truth.

Lee Smith was wide open on that play.

You ended up scoring anyways.

C’est la vie.

- Pegullaville

maybe josh felt sorry, hence the 7 yard pass to smith on the next play to get to the 3 yard line

Smith should have an opportunity this weekend.

I have no idea what fangio is going to do in the secondary this week.

I’m hoping for a moral victory on Saturday. Broncos find a way to keep it close from beginning to end but find a way to lose to try to move closer to a top 10 pick.

Lee Smith was wide open on the right side doing a wheel route.

Would have went for 6 points

But then you wouldn’t have this gif so I guess it’s worth it

- Pegullaville

It's a big assumption that Lee Smith would have even remained upright all the way to the end zone.

Or caught it

Or not tried to fight the imaginary defender after the whistle and getting a 15 yard penalty

Smith has a hurt foot and probably won’t be active. With the broncos secondary, Kroft replaces him.

AND I have no problem with Josh not looking for Smith deep.

Remember when Booger said KB is a popeye's biscuit away from being a tight end? Lee Smith is half a popeye's biscuit away from being a lineman

By many accounts they are or were trying. 🤷

If Kuemper is so damn good, what does Arizona think they're getting for him? And do we have what they want?

- Powerslave

At the draft,
ARZ was supposedly asking for two 1sts

So i think it would start with a 1st on our end
I wouldn’t give up the 2nd first round pick, but I’d be willing to give up Ullmark with that 1st
Or a combo of guys like: Johansson, Samuelsson, Ryan Johnson, Asplund, Tage, Lakksonen, etc

I do think we’d have the prospects & picks to make a deal work

Lost in this conversation is that with a 56 game schedule, a backup only needs to play 10-12 games. Can Hutton go 5-4-3? Probably
- jcragcrumple

Funny but, 5-4-3 is acceptable in these parts.

It's really 4-8 with 13 points

Maybe 6-3-3 ? Which is really like a 1st round pick?

I imagine back ends of home and homes......

says the guy swearing we are going to get a goalie

when 25 goalies were signed this offseason and we signed none of them

and if kuemper is so great, why would the yotes shop him, seems if they are going to have hard times, the last thing you want to move is a good goalie for a cyclops and a scratch off ticket in the mid first round

- homiedclown

Where did i “SWEAR WE ARE GETTING A GOALIE?”

I’m simply posting what i want us to do

Moving the goalposts doesn’t make your argument any better

Kuemper has 2 seasons left under contract,
so they’re trying to maximize the return they’d get
As good as he is, he’s obviously not enough with the scrub team they have around him

And good players do get traded,
especially by bad teams that are rebuilding
Taylor Hall got traded by the Oilers, didn’t he?

A stagnant cap increases the value of draft picks as a source of cheap labor. I think asking prices will come down. There's already a surplus of talent available on the market and not enough demand. Cap space and picks will continue to rise in value. I suspect the rental market this year at the TDL will be pretty dead as well. Primarily depth moves, most likely

😀

Lee smith is a slower, shorter version of pete metzelars.
Bad hands too. Probably a great teammate.

For a backup, it's fine. Ullmark is going to play 40-45 games in a 56 game season imo. If he sucks, we're in real trouble. Hutton just has to keep his head slightly above water for 12 or so games.

He runs hot and cold. He'll probably get 2 shutouts and 2 nights with a sub .750

howard, anderson, miller, or schneider signs by saturday
- homiedclown

Miller might still be good, maybe not?
His stats have been declining the last couple years

Do we want any of those guys?
None do much for me

Also I don't think goaltending would be the reason a forward like Hall would leave. If goaltending is the reason they're losing games it can easily be upgraded when everything becomes normal again.
- Keepcomplaining

So goaltending hasn't cost us games over the last few years. Hutton doesn't disappear for 13 games this past year, and we make the playoffs.

So they weren't TERRIBLE they just weren't very good, but good enough to make the play-ins.
- TheSabresTaco

Ok, fine
Talking semantics about the exact word used to describe them doesn’t change the point:

Kuemper is a top goalie in the league that would help us a lot if we got him

nobody has a freaking clue, which is my point

for 2 years sabres fans were touting risto as a kaberle like return we heard from leaf fans because so and so and so and so said they were being shopped

now some assume we are going after a goalie

just like everyone was saying the sabres were going to get lean, they didn't

but hey we would have taken colin white if we did not trade for lehner

- homiedclown

Weren't you the one saying we were going lean.

McManus is among the leagues best kickers. Him not being able to play definitely makes an impact.
- Pegullaville

If it were gonna be a close game, then sure
I doubt this game is close enough for him to have made much of a difference
