he was very good in college
I watched him play almost every game in his jr and sr season - homiedclown
I admit right up front that I don't watch alot of college ball...in large part because I schedule alot of other activity on Saturdays which causes me to miss a poop-ton of games. So take that for what it is worth.
My personal reaction to watching EJ was that he needed quite a bit of help with his NFL game to become a successful QB. His throwing motion seemed much different that others; often floating the ball off his back foot...based off of that habit, I just didn't see him becoming the guy.
He's numbers were much better than Allen's, and again, I admitt I was in the anyone but Josh camp...mostly because he was raw, a project t and the Bill's had absolutely ZERO credibility in developing a QB let alone a Project QB.
And here we are today... Daboll and company have conducted an unprecedented development job that has resulted in unparralleled growth with Josh to date.
Maybe the Bill's did screw the pooch on EJ's development, or maybe he just wasn't NFL material to begin with. Who really knows. |

He’s a season ticket holder just like you! You know all!
And EJ had an all star team in college and still wasn’t great. He did the same exactly stuff with the bills that he did in college. - Sabretooth9

Can someone answer this?
So last Sunday night, there was a play where there were penalties on both teams (one being a roughing the passer against the Steelers), and in every other instance that I've ever seen, those penalties will off-set. But in this case, the penalty against Buffalo was automatically declined, and the roughing the passer against the Steelers (personal foul) was enforced.
Any idea why? |

I was thinking that as well...I have no idea
Maybe because it was a 5 yard penalty versus an unsportsmanlike conduct 15 yarder?
I mean if it was holding on the offense they would have resulted in no play I believe |

That’s exactly right.
I don’t remember it being enforced before this season either though |

I heard them talking about it on the radio a few days ago. Their idea was that roughing the passer is now an automatically enforced penalty regardless of an offensive penalty.
My theory? Now that we have a franchise QB, we get all those "benefit of the doubt" calls we watched Tom Brady get for 20 years. It's a brave new world |

So if goaltending holds us back again, do we blame Adams? Or Brandon Beane since that's who Adams takes orders from - sbroads24

The 15 yards is considered a dead ball penalty in that instance. Remember, the Bills had a 1st down completion. It was negated and the penalty was enforced from the spot. Had the Bills not committed their own penalty, it would have tacked on 15 or 1/2 the distance depending on where the play ended. |

I’m usually busy kinda tuning Collinsworth out, but I think he said something about personal fouls will always be enforced now, even in off setting situations. No more freebies.
Btw, Mike Tirico does a good job on play by play, I never even thought about Micheals not being there until they brought him up to mention the honors he received this week
NBC should have him calling nhl games. Idk know if they’ve named a successor to Doc Emrick or not.
Edit; Tirico would be way better than Marv’s boy, imo |

Yes, Michaels was always among the top announcers, imo.
It probably helps that every time you hear his voice somewhere in the back of your mind you still hear this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qYscemhnf88
40+ freakin years ago already. He may be ready to step aside.
I guess Tirico will have to call NHL games next season, after football season |

That's insane if they don't get one and it comes back to haunt them.
Keep the goalies the same
Keep the bad #4 D man who the coach plays as a #1 (The Bills have a VERY good #4)
Keep the other bad RD and play him at LD with the other bad RD
Expect massive improvments. - sbroads24

I don’t think the Pegulas are making the goaltending decisions for this team
U really believe they are? - jdfitz77
Terry pegs is pretty good at scouting nfl qb talent.
Liked mahomes alot (reported) and he was a big part of the Allen pick.
Maybe he needs to be MORE involved?
Send him to Arizona to check out the goalie situation? |

Raanta I’d be ok with
He’d have us in the running, but we’re in such a tough division
Kuemper is the real prize though.
I think we’d be a playoff team for sure with him-
& even have a chance to pull some upsets if he gets hot
I’d be willing to pay up for him
He’s a top5-ish goalie, & a real difference maker |

Who are you shipping out
A) in the trade to acquire him, likely futures /prospects since the only reason they would trade a G is to reduce their Cap/Salary...so no/little hits going back?
B) to make room for his $4m+ Caphit since Sabres don't have that space available...and what team are you targeting for that trade?
Gee, this discussion sounds familiar. |
