This is one of those rare win win trades for both teams

Which I am 100% okay with

- Stripes77

Everyone should be i think

We traded for the more “certain” player,
and gave up some youth & Cap space for that certainty
Obviously Diggs is killing it, so it was probably worth it
I think we’d have been happy with Jefferson too though

And at the end of the day, you’re right
The trade has worked out for both teams

Pegulaville is that guy who takes a girl out on a date and expects her to put out as soon as dinner is over, because what's the point in taking a girl out if his "large hands" correlated genitalia isn't going to get wet?

But he always carries a roofie just in case because he can't accept foreplay(offs) without the ultimate victory.

This is a retardical question.

I do like the foreplayoffs...might use that on the "old lady". Maybe I'll set up a round-robin, double-elimination style series of foreplay competitions on our next date night so we can see which foreplay wins the title. No biases (biasee?)

I had a professional massage recently while wearing a mask. the massage was fine but the mask almost made me pass out.
Good luck/break a leg.

I’m just hoping it doesn’t get cancelled tbh. I told her to pack her bags and I’m taking her away for the weekend and she has no clue where we’re going or what we are doing.

Puts a lot of pressure on me to cook something up on the fly if I have to call an audible.

I’m sure watching the Bills and Broncos on Saturday ain’t going to cut it.

Tanking increases your probability of getting high end talent.

Especially talent that can perform above their contract demands for their first 3 seasons.

There are definitely ways of acquiring high end talent without tanking. However when the Penguins, Hawks, and Kings (for the most part) do it and win a combined 8 cups featuring players selected in the top 5 of their draft classes it makes sense why Buffalo would do that.

Cozens becoming a play driving top 6 forward at a sub $1M cap hit is the key to make this whole ship work and salvaging the fact that we gave $9M to Skinner.

Quinn and Peterka carving out roles in the top 6/9 at cheap salaries also help immensely.

Watch that “culture” improve too because we have a lot more talent on our roster.

- Pegullaville

You should take note of the Buffalo Bill's when considering the position that skill is all that matters. Bill's signed highly skilled players that also fit their culture they have built over the past 3 years after they tore down the team of discontent know-it-all fat asses, and now have one of the best cultures in the league.

This is what gets me so excited about the Sabres...that Adams defined what being a Buffalo Sabre is and went out signed and drafted players cut from that cloth.

Interesting that Ken Holland was on NHL channel on Serius/XM and spoke about how Stevie Yzzerman changed his game when Bowman got to town...
Holland specifically called that out 1st on his list of reasons why Detroit became a dynasty ... star players followed in his footsteps.

Culture, It is real, laugh all you want

Culture is real and has importance, I just think it’s an overused term by teams that lack talent and as good as having a cultivated culture is, talent wins games not positivity.

The Bills have probably had a good culture since Beane and McDermott have taken over.

However taking the step from playoff tweener to AFC contender has more to do with the talent they have added to the roster and the overall improvement of players as a whole.

Tre White is an elite corner.

Poyer and Hyde are one of the better safety duo’s in the league.

Edmunds is figuring it out and Milano is a good football player.

Hughes is not getting the sacks every week but his pass rush winning percentage ranks up there with the leagues best and he’s applying pressure.

Allen, Diggs, Beasley are all having elite seasons.

All I hear about from the Broncos is how good the culture has been this offseason and this year in the locker room but it is lacking in the results and the record.

NFL Week 15 power rankings: Packers, Bills move up on heels of No. 1 Chiefs

3. Buffalo Bills (10-3) | Last week’s rank: 5

The Bills have elbowed their way into the conversation about which team is the AFC’s best. In fact, they may have elbowed the Steelers right out of that conversation Sunday night.

I did say I wouldn't be shocked to see them beat Pittsburgh and then lose to one of Denver or New England.

They're also a miracle catch away from winning 7 in a row.

Why is that insane?
Obviously he wanted to improve the WR group

- jdfitz77

you are ASSUMING if beane did not trade for diggs, he would have taken jefferson over 20 or so other players in the nfl

that is the first part

the second part, if he was dead set to get a wr with his first round pick, he must not have liked them as he traded the pick for diggs, which leads more toward no guarantee he was picking a wr with the first rd pick

Fair points
I have no idea what Homie was trying to get at though

- jdfitz77

I am getting at people are freaking stupid to assume we would have picked jefferson if we did not trade for diggs

that is like saying we would have taken colin white in 2015 if we did not trade lehner to the sens

John Brown was a #2/#3 (in Arizona) before becoming the Bills defacto #1 in a pass happy offence so I don’t think that was a large bar to supersede.

- Pegullaville

he was also the leading wr in baltimore in between his time with cardinals and bills, in a run heavy offense

Obviously he wanted to address the WR position,
Bc not only did he trade for Diggs, he drafted 2 WRs as well
And Jefferson was the obvious pick at that spot

Also... how are your assumptions that he might not have liked Jefferson any different than anyone assuming that he would’ve liked him?

Then he’s a stupid gm

But to play along:
-Kmet not likely bc we just picked Knox last year,
and had Craft & Smith
-Pittman is good too if it happened to be him,
but there’s no debating Jefferson was easily the highest rated WR left at that point. But let’s just say it wasn’t him.... the other 2 WRs picked in that vicinity were Aiyuk & Higgins- both of whom have also looked good this year.

Of course we don’t KNOW who he’d have picked
But the POINT is that he could’ve chosen a good WR in that spot if we kept the pick...
and it’s quite obvious that Jefferson would’ve been the most likely choice

if beane feel in love with any of the wr's, he probably would not have traded for diggs
