So I think it’s our last 3 1st round picks (Johnson, 31st overall) and now today Peterka made it V (2020 2nd rounder). - Lilroot9

Peterka is very intriguing. He posted 4+2 in seven games as a 17 yr old for team Germany at last year's WJC |

"Allen will be a facing a Steelers defense that’s ranked first in the NFL in fewest points allowed, yielding an average of 17.6 per game, and second in pass defense, allowing 199.8 passing yards per game. The Steelers, too, are first in the NFL with 44 sacks and with 16 interceptions."

Good stuff.
Did you see that tweet posted here yesterday, I think by Kong, that shows Allen leading all QBs is success against top D' (I just can't remember the metric used to measure, but I believe it was yds per pass)?
I am waiting to see what Daboll cooks up to attack the Steelers, whilerotecting Josh from that D-line
Just hope Frazier and McDermott can engineer a defensive scheme to keep the Steelers O subdued...FG's not TD's |

Am really looking forward to this matchup. Should be a good one.
And, yes, the d will have its hands full, especially if PIT can get their running game going.

It’s nice that they have a bunch of significant injuries they’re dealing with |

That would be epic.
I'm going with Bills 31 - Steelers 24
Big Ben is a tough customer and will likely keep the Steelers from getting blown out.

We haven’t won by more than 10pts all year,
and now we’re gonna blow out one of the best teams?
That’s a greedy prediction sir |

True. But I usually refrain from underestimating them. They're a well coached team |

For sure
They almost made the playoffs last year playing a 4th string QB
Tomlin should’ve won Coach of the year last season
I think both teams will score in the mid20s-mis30s
And the game will be decided by 10pts or less
Before PITs injuries, I’d have picked them
Now i think it’s a coin flip |

I always love the WJC20 tournament, and with the Sabres having been drafting high, normally they have several prospects playing throughout the tourney.
Again this year it will be fun to see how the kids stack up against their peer group.
Cozens will have a ton of weight on him as the C on the top line. I'm surprised that Dach is playing on his wing rather than driving another line...but those two will probably be switching back and forth at C and RW
I am hoping Quinn can fight to play on line 2 somehow...big minutes for him would be great to see.
Peterka is the most intriguing guy for me since he was picked relatively high (low against his ranking I know, but still high in the grand scheme of things)...I want to see his playing style.
Hockey can't get here quick enough!

WJC hockey is some of the best hockey around. Over the course of the past several years I think some of the most entertaining hockey games I’ve ever watched have been games from this tournament.
As of right now Quinn is practicing on the top line with Cozens and Dach.
Will be nice to see how Peterka and Johnson fair as well.

No Joe Haden either tonight by the looks of it.
Bills win 31-24.
They win by double digits if Pittsburgh continues to struggle on the ground. |

I could see virtually any scenario playing out.
Close, blow out, and all points in between.
I am hoping for a similar game unfolding for the Bill's as it did against the 49ers...engineer a few long, time consuming drives that yield a 10 or 13 point lead by the half, force Ben to change their success formula from short to longer passes...resulting in a couple turnovers.
What's the weather up there to be around 8:00? |

Agreed with the quality of hockey...live it.
Great for Quinn if he snags that role and produces. The pressure will be on that line.
Also, since I think in 4 years Byfield will be the better players picked from this draft, I can't wait to watch him as well. |

Great Reed Mike !
Why would the Sabres hold back either of cozens or quinn? World juniors is graduation step to the nhl.
Kinda getting an idea why most scouts received the pink slip. Our last (2) 1st rounder and a 2nd made it. No sleepers......
Curious if any late picks made these teams? - Boss34
I also don’t see any benefit to Buffalo from holding Cozens or Quinn out of this tourney. Playing on that stage with expectations of success will only help their development into NHL players. (imo)
Idk if there are very many late round picks on these tournament rosters, especially the top countries’ teams. One late round pick that made a WJC team is Canada goalie Devon Levi. 7th round pick by FL. I don’t know how much he’ll actually play, but some think he could grab the #1 goalie spot for Canada. |

I agree that Byfield has the highest ceiling of any prospect in this past draft, especially considering he plays Center whereas Lafreniere is a winger.
Byfield is listed at 6’4 221 points at the moment and with his speed he can definitely be an elite 1C if he puts it all together.
Time will tell I guess, Lafreniere is a tough guy to pass up though and was more of a sure bet today.
I think it will be reminiscent of the Taylor vs Tyler debates that were had for a long time when Hall went first and Seguin went second. If you ask Chirelli though he doesn’t seem to want either on his team. |

20 of the 22 players on the roster are all 1st round picks for Canada specifically. They definitely have the worst goaltending though at the tournament of any of the “big 4” nations if you want to call it that.
Russia: Askarov
U.S: Knight
Sweden: Wallstedt (slam dunk first rounder this year)
Can’t remember the last time 3 high profiled goaltenders came out in 3 consecutive years either.

We’ve played MUCH worse defenses this season & not scored 41pts on them
And i don’t see our defense dominating their offense like u predict either
The Bills don’t beat teams by more than 10pts
So a prediction of 25 point win seems like a reach
I just don’t think we are that kind of team
We don’t blow teams out |
