Just Hoglander or can we hope all prospects turn out?
I don't think I have ever seen or heard anyone say they don't think Hogs will turn out, just like I haven't heard people say that about Pods, but they are allowed to question Podkolzin's game, but no one can question Hoglanders? - Reubenkincade
I think the point is made that if you going looking for flaws, you're bound to find them and only see the bad things.
It's like Faber and OJ. He wants so badly to be right about OJ not being good enough. He can't even see the good in his game.
Just like Karlsson's goal standing alone in front of the net the other day. Poor defence is the only thing anyone got out of it. Didn't see anyone mention him being in the right spot at the right time. Finishing from in tight. |

He's going to dirty areas on the big ice in the tough grimy Swedish league....
What until he's on small ice surrounded by players as fast or faster then him(he's shifty, not fast) and getting pounded harder then my eggplant gets smashed by my hand on date night. He'll wilt like a leaf of lettuce in the sun, kinda like eggplant after said date night.

You know that Rogle has an NHL sized ice?
Someone forgot to tell Brayden Point that he's an undersized, slow, soft player before he rips the NHL to shreds every year. |

Rogle played Frolunda a week ago. Had a real good feed for it. The first period I was kind of stunned at the pace of the game and the physicality. Hits after the first period were 11-9 for Frolunda.
Linkopings was playing Vaxjo that day. The hits were 3-1 after first period and it ended that way.
Sadly at the end of the Rogle game hits were only 16-10 so over the final two periods only 6 hits.
They lost to Frolunda who I would say is the better team. |

NHL defenders, bigger and faster then those in SHL.
Rogle has small ice but they only play half their games there.
Small players who are slow need to be way smarter and shiftier to actually make it in the show. Point is the exception that makes the rule. For every Point that makes it there are 100 Schroeders that don't, hopefully hodz makes it, I just have my doubts. |

1st off I wouldnât compare Point & Schroeder. Hog isnât slow.
2nd to get pasted takes a player who sets himself up for it but bigger players are the easiest to nail. Hardly elusive.
Lastly durability isnât size related. |

The mentality that big is tougher is laughable. Especially when one looks at who says this. Want big then draft obese NFL linemen. Lindros didnât end well did he? Big wussy. |

Hodz isn't fast either. He's shifty but no speedster.
NHL level players are going to be head and shoulders..... taller them him, lol. I mean NHL players are head and shoulders better then anyone he's played against, perhaps he adapts, perhaps not. He's going to get pasted a few times, a big body takes more punishment then a smaller body, that's durability. |

Anytime I hear Lindros' name mentioned, I picture Scott Steven's flattening him. |

I have kind of compared Hogz to Marchessault in terms of style. After watching him the last few games. He kind of reminds me of Kevin Fiala. |

Speed is as important as size, but if you aren't big or fast, you'd better be very smart, hodz seems like a smart player and he's shifty and strong for his size, it's just going to be an uphill battle considering he only ticks one box out of three. |

Not a bad comparison, I want to see him against better quality competition. |

100% but just projecting what he could accomplish from his current level and style of play. Dahlen and Goldy had the same problems that we don't hear about when NHL personnel talk about Hogs |

Because they are like most the downers on here who deem players not good enough once he's in Canuck organization. Guess 50 years of but hurt gets them that way. |
