Some quotes from Nils Höglander via
@sportbladet
“If I take a place in Vancouver, I will play there, otherwise it is up to them if they think it is best that I come back to Rögle. Then I do it and we have had a dialogue about that.”
“If I do not take a place, there is a good chance that I will go to Rögle and play there, but at the same time if they feel that I am going to the AHL for two weeks to be able to take a place in the NHL, I will accept it. It's a bit up to them but I will try to take a place |

Pressure causes turnovers, if done correctly. Turnovers lead to chances. - manvanfan
I would like to see the Canucks play a game of putting pressure on the puck carrier, continually.
Unfortunately they have a few players that are a half a step behind all the time. |

whoa whoa whoa...remember we are taking a 'giant step back' by losing Tanev remember?
 - LordHumungous
Tanev was replaced by a better player. Try and get it right... giant step back because we lost Stetcher...

Will you be there to greet him? - Reubenkincade
Not a fan of short players, so no! I still maintain kids/players like Quinn Hughes, Brayden Point, Theo Fleury, Marty St. Louis, etc. are the exception, not the rule.
I love the kids condition, his lateral movement, his puck skills, the list goes on and on, however, he’s going to have to find a way to do that with much less time and space as well as dealing with the physicality of the NHL.....I sincerely hope he’s up to the challenge. |

Probably wouldn’t have happened if it wasn’t for that pick at the blue line. Today it would have been called interference. |

Double edged sword yes but Tanev was way too conservative. Passed on many good opportunities. |

A few weeks ago it was said he'd leave Sweden and start his quarantine immediately after his loan was up on Dec 12th.

If they could just play the speed and skill of Tampa Bay, the pressure of Vegas and the grind game of St. Louis. Might have a chance at the President's trophy again. |

Just waiting for the $9.5 million in cap clearing and Eriksson's MTA. Once all that happens, we should expect Podz & Tree to be with the team, too. Thank goodness for all of these ELC's in a flat cap era. |

That would be great but needs wingers to be more responsible. Boeser isn’t quite fast enough nor Pearson. JV can fly but is inconsistent. Miller is fine. Bottom 6 only Motte I’ve faith in & Gaudette isn’t up to it yet. Schmidt will help in this regard.
Once team speed gets better we might see it. Pod will definitely help big time. Who else? |

 It does.
He is coming to camp but sounds like if he doesn't take a spot he could be back in Sweden.
I think in a normal season, he would be in Utica in a heart beat if he didn't take a spot but with the poop that's still going on in the world. Having a player come over to a foreign country and having a bunch of restrictions. It would just make a bit more sense to send him back. |

Kane Panarin Petey Hughes Point Marchand Marner are just a few short or light players. I’ll take any of them. Takes time for talent with speed & skills to infiltrate & change line-up make ups evolving. Size I like on D if mobile to compliment offensive D. Cernak. |

i dont really blame him for being conservative he doesnt have the physical benefits to be as aggressive. someone built like shea weber can staple someone against the boards whereas tanev would simply bump off. i appreciate he was at least smart enough to play to his strengths nearly 100% of the time |

Making the comparison in a loose association. Same as saying Pod will cry & leave when he smells weed. Just sayin |

ya i think if hes not close to being first call up hell go back. id even think they would do that even if it was a normal year based on the teams previously poor run of developing players in utica |
