100% but just projecting what he could accomplish from his current level and style of play. Dahlen and Goldy had the same problems that we don't hear about when NHL personnel talk about Hogs - manvanfan
He seems to have more drive then Goldy, the Dahlen comparison is actually quite apt. Dahlen want the highlight machine but he was just as well viewed at this stage of his development of memory serves.

Dahlen lots of skill same as Goldy but couldn't put it to use in the big leagues. Hoglander is miles ahead of Dahlen in his overall game though and he seems to understand that he needs to improve upon it. Dahlen just cried and left back to Sweden.
So, 34 players remain ... nine more cuts to come after tonight's final intra-squad scrimmage. - manvanfan
At least we'll have WJC with no NHL on in December. The buzz on Podz will be interesting. Wonder what the new season rules will be on reserve list players.

Hoglander has yet to leave Sweden to be given
the chance to cry and leave back to Sweden.

Because the loudest are the whiners on social media and get all the attention from the talking heads on TV and radio. Sad that they are selected to represent Canucks fans but it is what it is....

That the crowd that Burke was talking about a while back ?
If this opt out option Carol mentioned is worked like LTIR then it could be more then just Sven and Ferland. JB should tell LE we're waiving you to UTICA (or whatever back water hole they're going to play out of for Covid AHL). No taxi squad keeping either or you can opt out. That will make for a pseudo MTA at least for 1 season lol.
Which is huge cause more comes off following season with Sutter, Sven etc gone. JB can then pull off a real top 4 deal for a RHD. Cap space still being a high value under new CBA. As much as he pumps Chatfield's tires the guy should be extra or taxi squad.
Reach down between your legs, once you reach your balls come back up and grab that dangling thing above them, that's what a straw feels like! - Pres.cup
At first I thought this was going to be a Van Halen lyric, then I was disappointed.
Hodz isn't fast either. He's shifty but no speedster.
NHL level players are going to be head and shoulders..... taller them him, lol. I mean NHL players are head and shoulders better then anyone he's played against, perhaps he adapts, perhaps not. He's going to get pasted a few times, a big body takes more punishment then a smaller body, that's durability. - Pres.cup
Being shifty is better than having straight speed when it comes to avoiding hits in the NHL. He just needs to watch some Patrick Kane tapes.
Dalhen is 22 and still in the HockeyAllsvenskan. Hogs is 19 and doing well in the SHL...no comparison

Being shifty is great, Kane has speed as well though.
Hodz looks alright over there, Dahlen was lighting it up when he was 19. Time will tell, he could be one of those players that plays better in the show.

Hearing that the AHL's current target is a 44 game schedule from the previously announced Feb 5 date running through May 30 with games being played only within their division, of which there will be 5 due to an all-Canada division.

Nice we got some hockey posts on everythingelsebuthockeybuzz. As for Dahlen he wasn't drafted by JB and all the buzz on him was at time of Goldy hopes. Canucks are not now in that desperate situation for youth prospects.
So the talk on Hogz is more measured and that's why he also has a legit shot for the roster. Plus Hogz tenacity seems more Petey like in the way they approach the game. Heck they even both juggle and unicycle too.

Kane is next level but Hogs has some speed/quickness, demonstrated today with that beauty of a goal.
I could be wrong but I don’t think Dalhen ever played in the SHL, just jr and HockeyAllsvenskan
