Still needs AHL time to groom his game or he’s done. Still possible he can overcome. Odds are long he has an NHL future.
- Nighthawk

He's got to show something like he should move into the AHL though. Otherwise he's the next Gaunce.

Gaunce, Gaunce, Gaunce.

Sometimes ragging on players ups their game. Different ppl motivate differently. He at least was driven to make it not like so many others that couldn’t. Outspoken personalties have differing ways about themselves & if players cannot handle it too bad. Making the pros is no easy road.

He’s a mini Iron Mike 😂

Not a fan and I also think he is a POS.

Hopefully Hogz is the same then. 900 points in 1250 games I would take from a 2nd round pick.

1982 was a pretty good draft.

- manvanfan

He has a slight edge to his game if he can work it to his advantage. Little prlcks annoy bigger players so easily. Nothing tweaks a big guy like a smaller player to get him off his game. In their heads to find the big cavity hurts their machismo.

With speed & skill todays game the pest still has a huge role. Relentless motor & determination will always gain a coaches attention.

Lind can be our next pest especially if skating improves. Motte already proved it gets noticed. Ideally a 4th liner.

........................

Paul Kariya was an elite level offensive player, as a 16 year old in the BCJHL he had 132 points in 41 games.

Cliff Ronning another elite level offensive player in the WHL, at 17 years old he had 137 points in 70 games for New West.

Ray Ferraro, elite talent in the WHL, 192 points in 72 games for Brandon. Still holds the record for most goals in a season WHL....108.

Lind could replace Rousell when his contract his up. Until then he'll be the extra call up.

95% of the players need to improve their skating when they come in.

Gaudette's lap was only 1.5 seconds behind the fastest skaters in the league.

Gaudette probably one of the slower players in the league.

Gadjovich needs to improve his skating. That's a person that NEEDS to improve his skating.

The funny thing is, Gajovich laps are only 1.2 seconds behind the fastest skaters in the league.

I don’t see Gads getting there tbh.

Gaudette can get better imo

Dahlin @ 19 was just as hyped as hodz is at 19... that's the point, the going back home was in response to people saying Fallin is back home, 2 years ago you where putting him in the top 6 of the lineup, just like hodz now. That's the comparison, not where he is now, comparing them as 19yo.

But never played in the SHL. Big difference IMHO.

I just came upon these articles by Cody Severtson. I don't remember them but they are pretty good. Lots of clips.

One fellow I met, who played junior with Ray said he was a POS to players below him on the depth chart and was always screaming and whining, nothing much has changed with him.
- Reubenkincade

Ya I don't get why Ferraro has so much cred when it comes to team building analysis. He completely ignores past statements he made when reality ultimately shows he was 100% wrong.

Crazy, shows how important close contact skating is - first three strides and can they get away from other players in tight spaces.

With Gadjovich, he is a big guy with very little agility, fine to be a skater North South, but lateral movement is needed and his isn't very good.

I had Brooks, Mitchell and Geekie going before him, would be stoked with anyone of those 3, but I was fine with that pick at the time, as this team needed/needs some toughness.
Maybe another year or 2 in Utica getting bigger icetime, due to expanded rosters, might help him out.

Yup... second round dud who may have an outside chance at a fourth line role in a couple more years if he improves his skating.
