Utica has had almost nothing to develop. With drafting poorly for some many years. Now after 6 years of Benning, we are seeing the few play some years in Utica. The firsts aren't needing time in Utica.

SHL and KHL are better than AHL. I was looking yesterday and it seems that the Czech league isn't far behind the SHL and is ahead of Liiga for now for talent that is produced into the NHL.

Where does the CHL rate for that talent to nhl?
Also, NCAA

To appease the draftists...

Players like Hog & Lind in the 2nd were great picks if they can fit into the mid 6. Even bottom 6 is a success if impactful.

Our LHD competition is very healthy but RHD needs more push from prospects.

LHD.........RHD

Should have traded him for immediate NHL help, those second round picks are such a waste...

There's actually a very good chance that may happen.

I like Schmidt and think he is a good player, but I don't think he is that good.

Easily a very good #3. Like I said need more RHD going forward.

Pairings as seasons pass imo...

Hughes Myers
Edler Schmidt
OJ Benn/Chatfield/Rafferty

Hughes Myers
OJ Schmidt
Rathbone Rafferty/Chatfield

Rathbone Schmidt
OJ Rafferty/Woo

LH Jurmo & RH Persson are intriguing prospects & there is a good D draft coming next.

That was a good job of making sure to go to an opening for a loose puck, quit being so negative.

Not a fan of short players, so no! I still maintain kids/players like Quinn Hughes, Brayden Point, Theo Fleury, Marty St. Louis, etc. are the exception, not the rule.

I love the kids condition, his lateral movement, his puck skills, the list goes on and on, however, he’s going to have to find a way to do that with much less time and space as well as dealing with the physicality of the NHL.....I sincerely hope he’s up to the challenge.

NHL 1
KHL .83
SHL .78
Czech .74
AHL .70
Fin .54
DEL .52
Swiss .43
NCAA .41
CHL .40

Kind of the latest numbers i've found.

The problem is there are so many different paths and age plays a factor. You can only really go off numbers that have happened and not every player is the same.

ADD: https://theleafsnation.co...-the-methodology-of-nhle/

There is also numbers from the NHLe factor which I sort of think has some serious errors.

Hughes and Makar had NHLe of like 90 and 95

Kane Panarin Petey Hughes Point Marchand Marner are just a few short or light players. I’ll take any of them. Takes time for talent with speed & skills to infiltrate & change line-up make ups evolving. Size I like on D if mobile to compliment offensive D. Cernak.
- Nighthawk

Petey is 6 foot 3,190lbs, Hughes is 2 inches taller then hodz, cherry picking a few elite players who are short doesn't make all short skilled players elite and short players almost need to be elite to make it, unless you're a fan of the Stechers of the world.

Do you think being able to read the play will compensate for his avg skating ability? I mean Nobody has ever called Mark Stone a speedster. He's doing fine. But his hockey IQ is like elite.

Making the comparison in a loose association. Same as saying Pod will cry & leave when he smells weed. Just sayin

If you back read instead of prejudicially posting you'll now that I was responding to a comparison... not at all the same dude. Dahlen came for 2 years and then left, hodz has yet to have an opportunity to leave....

Wasn’t me moaning about Petey when he was 168lbs. Love ppl who make excuses about short or light players til proven wrong when so many more big players flop. D is where size can be an argument. Stecher is over matched. Heart only goes so far.

Hogz is elite and I really have no idea where you keep getting your heights and weights. Some sites aren't very good at updating.

I just keep looking at sites until I find one that suits my narrative.

You can't call a 0.5ppg player elite, sorry dude but that's what he projects at the NHL level. That's fine middle six producing but far from elite....
