Wasn't a shot at you by any means.

Rather, it was aimed at the short-sighted management of teams who put their own self-interest ahead of what is best for the team and the player on a longer-term basis.

- IonSabres

I understand where you're coming from, just with players like Cozens, Dach and such, they have real good shots at taking a NHL spot this year.

Find yourself wishing the Days away to the next Bill's game. Fun times around here again, even if we can't be there. Feels like the late 80's again.

But I married a blonde

- Stripes77

I’ve never met your wife, but being ‘blonde’ makes that close to a 50/50. It’s in the eyebrows.

WGR had a good topic on my way home from the gym

Do the bills need to beat the Steelers? If they lose. I mean it won’t keep them.

My personal opinion is that the Bills need to get the win. Beat the “2nd best” team in the AFC and show the NFL that the Buffalo Bills are doing big things and to watch out.

A “coming out” party

If they lose. Standings wise they are fine. But the media and league won’t take them seriously.

Could be a statement game!!! Think with Milano back, we match up pretty well against there short passing game. If the Oline can hold up and give Allen time, Beasley and Knox could have big games. Think we match up well with Pittsburgh.

Big deal he made the Canadian team. They never produce good nhl prospects ☝️

He was clearly a mid first round talent that the putz, GMKA, CLEARLY reached for at 8.

As it turns out, being a hermit suits me pretty well. Got a real nice lady keeping me company, learning guitar, working too much. Hope all’s well with you and the other dclowns.

I think you're a bit confused?

Gmtm - drunk
Jbotts - putz
Gmka - rink manager

Maybe I'm confused? 🤔

I think it is a piss poor move if Kevyn Krueger pulls anyone from this tournament.

1st, it is an important event for a young player to experience, a once (or twice) in a lifetime event to shine...it is simply robbing the player of something special in their lives.
2nd it helps players take the next step in development
3rd for most, they get more time playing high quality minutes against great competition which is valuable for teams to see where they stack up against their peer group

To pull them away, especially on a Sabres team that will fight for their lives to get to 7th in their division, just doesn't make sense....for what?...so the team could lose by 1 less scoring point cumulative over the 1st 5 games

And the friggin league should give these kids the proper time in their training camps by delaying the start of Covid Camps by 10 days.

Cozens is potentially a very important piece to this Sabres team. He should be given his opportunity to make the team at camp. If that comes at the expense of the WJC, so be it. Kid is ready for the show.

Getting team continuity after 9 months off is hard enough. To expect him to come in midstream is unrealistic.

Promise him nothing but an opportunity to make the team. I guarantee he'd accept a chance to make the Sabres over a guarantee of winning gold at the juniors

I understand your point but I’d gladly sacrifice some TC time for pressure filled tournament hockey televised worldwide

I’d be surprised if they let him go back to Lethbridge again.

He can use the WJC as a spring board right on to the roster.

This is why I figured the Rangers wouldn’t let Lafreniere play.

I think this experience would benefit Cozens more then Lafreniere.

Also see Lafreniere playing first or second line minutes off the hop

I'm thinking if Cozens isn't here for TC he's not gonna be on the team. If those two points aren't mutually exclusive then I'm all for with him being at the WJC. He needs to be given a chance to make this team

Cozens needs to be playing second line minutes on Staal's wing. It's a very rare opportunity to learn from a guy like him

I would think he still will be.

Might just miss the first 2-3 games.

And he will ...... he will play at the world juniors and then come to buffalo. It’s not rocket science.

His training camp is being the number 1C and leader of team Canada. That’s hard enough
