Never been to a "real" concert. I was going to see Nazareth, but they were playing in a pub. I had got out of treatment, avoiding temptation and all. OzFest that my buds got to go in '99 in Calgary, my kid was born the month before. Anthrax, but couldn't get the time off work. My girlfriends boss did a local play (musical). There was a lady who was singing, I said to my girlfriend "that sounds like the lead singer to the Headpins." End of the show, they end with "don't it make you feel"; was totally the lead singer to the headpins. Lives up the street from the GF's boss.

I was an early adapter for Seattle grunge so was stoked to go see AIC. - 1970vintage
AIC was always my favourite from the era for the most part. Always thought Nirvana for all that they did were a tad over-rated due to the untimely death of Cobain. Cornell from Soundgarden may have had one of the top 5 rock voices of all time IMO. But it's good to see Pearl Jam and AIC still producing some pretty great music even today. Their last few releases are actually quite good if you check them out AIC especially. STP was another band along with AIC that I really followed. Everyone focuses on the 'big 5' bands of that era Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, Soundgarden and Stone Temple Pilots...but there were some in between bands like Mudhoney and few others that were really good too.
