Heard rumour that owners want to declare force majeure and call off season. CBA prohibits lockout and that’s their only way out. Not sure they can make a case though since you can’t really argue unforeseen circumstances from four months ago. I think players they’ll owners to go (frank) themselves on salary rollback. - Canada Cup
What I had heard was that owners want to play but if players won't share the losses as per something closer to the spirit of the agreement then yes, some of the owners would prefer to tell the players to stay home and come back next year.
Force majeure is a legit threat to players ...but like most grey areas could go either way. They both stand to win by getting on the ice ...they'll work it out. 300 million over 6 years of CBA isn't enough to prevent a deal.

I’ve watched plenty of tv lawyer shows and I can’t understand what the owners could show what “unforeseeable” circumstance occurred between when they signed and now that requires them to tear up the agreement. Did Hugo Chavez tamper with the league software?

To be honest, I felt that none of the team, including Matthews, played near their potential in the Columbus series, although he was easily the best Leaf.
My biggest problem with Matthews is that I don't think he will be a Leaf past this contract, unless they pay him max money, which will leave the team short everywhere else.

There's a few great lines in that video ... "It's just like playing Candy Crush, except instead of crushing candies, you are licking a vulva"

Remember when one of your buddies would find a stash of magazines in the trash, and you and your buddies hid it in the ravine, triple-protected with Loblaws bags, and you got to read them for about a month before another group of kids stole them from you?
I pity the kids today who just fire up their phones.
