If the season is cancelled will every player have a year removed from his contract?
If yes we lose an elc year for many players.
If no that is another problem on its own.
That is a serious issue to get sorted out. - Nighthawk
Certainly becomes a real problem for teams that have expiring contracts as well. Anyone that signed 1 year deals.
Screws up a lot of poop not playing the season. |

So Sutter, Pearson, Sven, Edler & Benn would be UFA's? Kind of solves some cap issues.

No, JB's still an idiot. He just may get lucky. I do think players will be offered an opt out again. Guessing Sven would take advantage of it.

Only bonuses were paid. A year ticks off. |

THIS DATE IN 2018: At 20 years and 224 days old, @NHLJets’ @PatrikLaine29 became the fourth-youngest player in NHL history to reach 100 career regular-season goals.

That's why i don't want Hoffman unless its a short term team friendly deal.

I’m guessing Bossy, Gretzky, Lemieux. |

League & PA can't come to an agreement on return to play. The more time that passes the more challenging it becomes.

He played something like 10 reg season games and a few PO games. Plus TG never used him properly. Not sure we saw enough of him to be a 'good fit' lol.
Hoffman is by far a much more consistent scorer. If we could get him at a good price that is...
I haven't heard he's a goof in the room... |
