There has been much talk of every American wanting the vaccine getting it for free, but I haven't seen any concrete plans.

I'm assuming some of it will be through private companies.

Will they be able to sell off some to the highest bidders to allow them to jump the line?

My wild prediction is "yes."

I agree with this. It’s probably similar to that of the covid testing. NHL was able to get their hands on thousands of tests so that they could go through with the season. People were getting upset thinking they were taking it away from the public but they got it through other avenues. Im assuming it will be something similar when it comes to the vaccine.

Anything’s possible after the priority groups are taken care of. Governments aren’t going to (frank) around with that.

So I’ll get my shot.

But my guess is that the list of priority groups will be pretty big once you include all those with medical issues and all those in essential services. If it’s a big free for all after that, I can see jumping the line.

I’m not sure about that. I just remember the nhl saying that they weren’t taking any away from the public but bought more then enough and we’re giving back.....or something along those lines

It’s possible that government might decide to allocate some specifically to the NHL at some point but it doesn’t look like there are going to be loose doses hanging around.

I don't see it.

The sooner you get vaccinated, the sooner you get back to a normal life.

I think a big majority will just try and get vaccinated as soon as possible.

I’m working from home, daughter is home, wife is working in a controlled office with only 3 people. I’ll wait with the foolish thought I may be helping someone who needs it more.

There is also nothing stopping a private company from licensing their vaccine to a third party who then sells it on the free market. (Unless that is somehow in the preorder agreement, which I doubt)

No, they didn’t copy me on the contracts. Governments provided funding to support development and signed orders to get the first doses. These orders cover the first 9.5 billion doses.

I read this in articles. The articles could be filled with lies and your general suppositions could be entirely accurate.
