Can the NHL (and other sports leagues) not just go directly to Pfizer/Moderna and buy the vaccine?

The vaccine isn't the property of any government as far as I know. What's to stop a sports league from offering $1,000 per dose to get it earlier?

You're right... Canada has secured a lot of vaccines from multiple pharmaceutical companies.. It's just a matter of which one is released first... Right now, it's Pfizer or Moderna but Biotech and AstraZeneca are not that far behind.

Only people that have been vaccinated will be allowed into public establishments where close contact is allowed. In order to do so, you'll need to show your proof of vaccination... evangelical christians will see this as having to bear the mark of the beast, a true indicator that the prophecies of Revelations are upon us and that the end-times are nigh. The world erupts into a giant war between the righteous and the damned, and the earth is left in ruin, with the righteous taking their rightful place within the pearly gates of heaven.
