I like the words, "some semblance." Allen's got some broad shoulders to carry a heavy load and on many occasions he's proven up to the challenge. Running decisively in necessary situations will make him and the team better as they'll have even more options.

imo

Couldn't agree more, teams would have to keep a safety in the box more, make Diggs and Brown even more dangerous.

Joe Burrow can attest to the importance of not stepping back to pass 40 times a game.

All it takes is hit.

Now do Tom Brady with his 13,000 career pass attempts and one career injury

The running game is as important as special teams. Being an elite passer is like being an elite 5v5 team. However, you will not win anything without special teams prowess, or a run game. The run game, and your special teams, are not required to be elite to win it all. But if you can't do anything at 5v5, you will be nothing.

There you go. I look forward to not continuing with this odd obsession.

What does that have to do with "all it takes is one hit"?

The 49'ers are one of the run heaviest teams in football and they have had multiple QB's get injured the past two years

The more opportunities a team has to put a hit on the QB, the more susceptible he may be to injury ?

There is no perfect correlation in anything.

I’m sure Joe Mixon being healthy would have taken some of the stress off of Burrow to throw as many times as he did on Sunday and may have avoided an injury

Yet you seem to correlate running the football to literally everything. Just don’t think there’s any relevance here to a freak injury

I never said anything about needing the RB to be elite.

You need to be able to be balanced if the game situation is forcing you to be balanced.

You need to have a big time defence to beat the elite passers of the NFL.

Ask Justin Herbert, Deshaun Watson, and Joe Burrow prior to his injury.

The only difference this year between Herbert and Allen is that one has an average to above average defence and the other one doesn’t.

Cincinnati has the second most pass attempts per game. Includes games with and without Mixon. Tampa Bay has the fourth most, and Ronald Jones is not great. Brady is unfortunately very healthy. Pittsburgh has 6th most attempts, Ben is fine. Jacksonville is 10th most. They're a tire fire. Raiders have less attempts than the Jets. Carr is healthy and winning, Darnold is injured and lol.

There is zero correlation between winning and injuries and pass attempts.

I await the next Trumpian evidence.

We all recognize that you need a running game and a passing game. That's common knowledge. But no one wins a title with only a strong run game.

Edit: Sorry. Just about no one wins like that.

Speaking of cat turds, how's the great state of Tennessee these days? Any Thanksgiving limits?

How good would you say Brady was in 2017 ? Not a top 10 QB but they were able to run the ball and play top level defence and Tom was efficient enough.

How good is Tom Brady this year ? Guy can’t hit the deep ball to save his life and the Buccaneers are 7-4 because they are well rounded.

You need average to above average QB play. The Rams may win the NFC and Goff might not even be a top 15 QB in the NFL.

The running game should be considered a no-no just like the forward pass once was. Progress.

Throwing the ball in order to win is a deep state conspiracy funded by crooked Roger Goodell and spread by Fake News Adam Schefter. SAD! Make the run great again!

Bills-Broncos moved to Saturday December 19, at 4:30. That's 4 straight prime time games, folks.

Could be 5 if they flex the Bills-Dolphins game, which is still entirely possible.

Also i would like to say that Sean McVay and Jared Goff have the most boring good offense in the league. They must have thrown 20 screen passes last night. It's not even fun to watch

I envision a Youtube video of the clock striking 10, and then the little Covid virus ball sneaks out from hiding to the tune of the Pink Panther theme.
