He was also straight up dogpoop in his previous games

The same cannot be said for Allen

Allen wasn't great but he wasn't dogpoop either

Ranked in the mid to high twenties depending on the QBR last year. On the ESPN list Lamar Jackson was #1 with a QBR of 83.0 and Josh was #24 at 48.4. 11 games thus year, some really good, does that make him elite is my question, yes if you are a Buffalo Bills homer. A realist would like to see the bar a little higher.

Why are you using last year? Who is moving the goalposts now?

Also I don't think he is elite, but he most certainly has shown he is better than average and is on his way to being a very good almost great QB.

FYI Josh Allen is 6th in QBR this year (Higher than Wilson) and Lamar is 21st and Dak is ahead of Allen and since his sample size is so small lets throw him out then

I'm using last year before the minuscule 11 games and not all of them very good to get a more full picture as to why he should, or should not be considered elite. You said AJ Klein was sh*t before, why did you consider what he did before and not just his last month? FYI AJ Klein should have been Player of the Week two or 3 weeks ago too. 11 weeks/one month not a huge amount of time difference if you want to canonize players as elite.

AJ Klein is a 33 year old 10 year vet who put a good month together

Allen is a 3rd year QB who’s statistically top 10 in every category passing and still has 6 rushing TD’s. He’s improved each year and now is a pro bowl QB

All that matters is Allen is good enough to get the team where it needs to go.

Whether people want to get hung up on whether he is elite/not elite or whether not he’s a top 5 or a top 10 QB I don’t think is important.

It’s a team game. Patrick Mahomes is a God and even he needed his supporting cast to win the bid game.

Drew Brees is elite, but because for a majority of his career he’s had very lackluster defences and special teams (also crappy luck between bad reffing in the Rams game in the NFC Championship and the miracle TD by Diggs against Minnesota) he has a 9-9 playoff record.

Allen is, and at the very least should be a top 10-15 QB for the duration of his career and the Bills will always be in the conversation for the playoffs/ Super Bowl because of it.

AJ Klein was sarcasm but still proves a point about you humping the elite tree.

In other news, Ryan Johnson has been off to a pretty decent start at the University of Minnesota so that’s always good.

It stings we didn’t take any of the forwards however we do have a long term hole at 2LHD that could be filled by either him or Samuelsson if not both which would be nice to allow us to use cap space and other assets to fill holes up front

Yvyn Aydyms is going to luck his way into a 9 year GM role with no front office experience because the last guy hit on some draft picks FA’s like Ruostolainen and Taylor Hall likes the coach (who the last GM hired)

Was responsible for Dahlin, Cozens, and Joker too.

It’s just a shame everything else the guy did was a disaster.

His lack of a F for D trade and bringing back the whole 2018 squad that were below replacement level players were the disaster. And Adams is following in those footsteps of not doing poop about the surplus of D and bad goalies

Everything else was totally fine and way overblown.

The Nylander and Skinner trades were absolutely robberies

There is no movement in the NHL right now, none. It is not just the guy you hate and his ineptness you preach about. The same type of preaching as when you said there would be no more moves after Stall and voila there was Hall after I said be patient.

Do you ever think practically or do you just think emotionally? You know that the owners which then trickles down to the GM's are worried about not making money this season right? So, many teams don't want to take other team's contacts so that leads a to a bit of a quagmire which shows why there is little or no movement in the whole league right now.

It’s comical that some experts on this site can’t accept we finally have the qb we’ve been looking for since Kelly. Relax and enjoy it.

Excuses. He had three months where players were being moved, the draft and free agency to do anything about the d log jam or goalies. He didn’t.

He’s the same as the others. Just more embarrassing because the Sabres are actually playing into how inexperienced he is by having those cringeworthy phone calls with Brandon Beane like he’s his son getting the sex talk for the first time

It’s such a Mickey Mouse run team, yet the Pegula’s are geniuses. They hire someone so unqualified to negotiate contracts, had never made any type of trade or was even an AGM where he’d have any experience, and set the bar so damn low, people are estatic that the only move he made of any significance was a 36 year old former teammate who *might* play 48 games as a Sabre

But, but this mickey mouse run franchise paid a one dimensional winger, when he feels like it, 9 million a year and you are all over that. That was a can't miss move. Are you always wrong? They showed that bean call as entertainment not a serious type endeavor and you hop right on it.

Since you are predominantly wrong I give Kevyn Adams a really good shot at succeeding.

Well when you consistently get wrong what I say. Then yes It probably makes me look wrong in your warped brain.

I have never one single time, defended the Skinner contract. He was overpaid from day 1.

I’ve said this before about Allen .... and any mobile QB.

At the end of the day, A QB can run for 100 yards + a game and it honestly doesn’t matter.

When it comes time to throw, a QB needs to be able to throw the ball down field

If Allen truly is hurt. We will see what he can do without all the extra stuff

There is reason he had the most passing yards of any QB in the league because Seattle's pass D was bad already and had injuries in it to boot, not to mention another DB got hurt during that game so an already special Olympics pass D was playing with one arm tied behind its back.

Simple - What Allen does really well that separates him from some other QB’s, doesn’t count because I don’t like him

I wanna see Fitz and Gil go at it.

One comparing QB’s to 33 year old linebackers and misrepresenting what Fitz says and then Fitz coming back at 4:47am with a half bolded paragraph on some bet they had 4 years ago to do oral in a Lockport park bathroom

What about the asterisk of having the schedule all (frank)ed up for the 2 games they lost?

It's always but, but, but when they win, never when they lose.
