All I remember from 2013 was losing to the legion of Boom 43-8.

The fact that the Broncos averaged 40 points a game and Manning threw a gazillion touchdown passes doesn’t really mean much to me.

I’m sure Chiefs fans will be disappointed if they don’t win the big game again this year.

Same with Packers and Saints fans if Rodgers and Brees don’t get another ring.

It's about odds. Odds are a great QB will be great from year to year. The same can not be said of defenses. I'd like to introduce last year's and this year's Bills defense as exhibit A. Mahomes is Mahomes. He didn't go from the best to one of the worst in one year.

Rodgers lost in the NFC Championship game last year and Goroppolo attempted 8 passes.

The 49ers had 74 yards passing that entire game.

Peyton Manning went 7-2 in 2015 as he only started 9 games due to injury.

He completed 59% of his passes. He threw 9 TD’s and 17 INT.

I don’t think it gets much worse then that.

And that’s including the 49ers who I think threw like 30 total passes last year in two playoff games to get to the Super Bowl.
