feds already confirmed that, the whole world needs the same vaccine, they will come in batches and you need 2 shots
- Symba007

and the vaccine needs to be kept in a special refrigerator, which will complicate things for distribution

yeah you're right, but I'd be curious to see examples of vaccines that gave terrible health consequences... I guess it can happen in rare occurrences but I'm thinking it'll be pretty safe from the get-go
- Pat1993

because they test for a few years

unlike this vaccine where they cut every corner possible and used computers to simulate a lot of the human tests.

Yet, I will still take it

I think that's a good attitude. That said sadly perception seems to matter more than reality some times

I'll deal with any frustration that comes out of it, I don't mind

the Pfzier one yes, -70c, the other one does not need to be kept that cold, much easier to move around and for storage

I meant examples of vaccines that weren't tested sufficiently and caused health issues... but I guess that didn't happen too often lol

the first people to get it will be first responders, elderly, people at risk. By the time the average person has access to it will be late 2021/early 2022
- Symba007

I work in healthcare and I am applying to Physician Assistant programs. Unlike the flu vaccine, my employer is not making it mandatory to be administered the C-vax when available

yeah I also heard of this, and was wondering why we would bother with the pfizer one at all, if that's the case...

Cannot come soon enough. I'm just looking at making it past Christmas and New years' eve alive.

Christmas is not really a big deal since I don't really have family anymore, but new year's eve is pretty big. We've been having a party with the same people since I was a teenager...Now the kids have been joining in since then.

It's going to be rough.

ironically more people will probably take it if it isn't mandatory, since they won't feel coerced to do it

both of my kids were going to come home for the holidays and as much as i miss them, i am telling them not to come. they agree but both want to see their grandmother.

the issue is my 85 year old mother plus both my sister and bro-in-law fall into the higher risk categories.
