Hard pass on G getting a 3 year deal by the time this one is up. - hereticpride
Unless something miraculous happens re: Frost, Patric, Lindlblom, Myers et al to suggest that we can contend with this team in the very near future, my wish would be that he is dealt at the end of this season for prospects/picks. He has a 4 million $ salary in the last year of his contract. That should make him palatable to many teams. |

Based on the vaccine info that is streaming in nowadays, looks like everything will be largely back to normal by fall 2021.
Since the league has had two extensive lockouts in the past 15 years of its own doing, it seems highly unlikely anything will fold based on this one. - PT21
The virus will not work, the distribution plan is crap, and nothing has been done by the feds since the racist policy of banning the 'Chinese' (code) from 'merica. |

Wut?!
At least 250,000 (from the USA alone) would have no hesitation gainsaying this statement of yours, were they still alive to be able to do so. |

He isnt getting traded; unless he asks. I highly doubt he ask at this point. He is complacent at this point of his career imo. |

I seriously doubt Giroux or the team will do a year to year thing. My guess would be 3 or 4 years. - MBFlyerfan
Why? It happens all the time. Joe Thornton. |

I can’t even put a dollar amount on what G is worth now. One game, 4 million. Next game, league minimum. |

Offer him what the current salary is for his current production when his current contract expires.
If he’s a 50-60 point a year guy two year max at that rate range. |

That’s exactly why I wouldn’t be giving him a multi year deal at this point. Maybe two years if it’s a very team friendly deal. |
