I think a good topic to discuss would he the prioritization of groups who should take the vaccine, or for the vaccine to be offered to.
Assume 50 million doses avail in 2020, that would enable 25 million people to be vaccinated based on 2 doses per person.

Then say an addition 250 million people (500 doses) in 2021

Give us say your top 5 groups.
Obviously Sabres/Bill's STH's are 6th on the list, lol.

Was he elected king, or something? I guess it’s kinda hard to get a lot done when the other side spends the whole term blocking you at every turn, and focusing most on trying to oust you and never even considering any kind of cooperation. Even if there are credits to Trump’s work as President, the multitude will dismiss them solely due to their hatred of Trump, the person.

I won't dismiss Operation Warp Speed, good job. Although just a hunch, but I'm pretty sure any modern President would have given good direction and would have gotten the same hard work and results from those involved in making a vaccine.

However, he SHOULD be hated. Common knowledge, but if you need proof you could just Google "sexist comments made my Donald Trump" or "racist comments made by Donald Trump" and you'll find a bunch of on-the-record quotes from this animal. How the hell he got elected in the first place after making those comments is beyond me. It literally disgusts me that 70 million people just voted for him.

Doesn't matter now though, he gone.

First responders, caregivers and the elderly and those with pre-existing conditions first.

My prioritized list

- Front-line Healthcare workers in Covid-19 areas of Hospitals and Urgent Care facilities
- 1st responders; Medics, Police, Firefighters, etc
- Elderly (70+) in long-term facilities/nursing homes
- Pre-existing Conditions over 45
- General population over 65
- General population

Side-note: assuming there is a prioritization of some sort based on high at risk populations, I don't see alot of fans at NHL games for some time if a condition is that only those vaccinated are allowed admittance.

My point isn’t to defend Trump, or to say he isn’t personally reprehensible. Your response kinda proves my point. Begrudgingly giving even dismissive credit “every/any President would’ve done that.” Then back to focusing on your personal hatred for him that blinds you to the other issues that might lead another to vote for Trump, even some that were celebrating when he was denied the chance to buy the Bills.

He does deserve full-credit
If the Food and Drug Administration authorizes expanded use of the vaccine in December, it would occur 11 months after the coronavirus was first identified— three years faster than any other vaccine has ever been developed.
Yet some people debate this.

well, can we get a rebate for all the money spent at trump golf properties?

it's estimated that he was at those properties 285 times at an estimated cost of $141 million...

the russian investigation cost $32M...the impeachment cost $3.06M...

just sayin'

I won’t allow myself to trust any sources anymore. Some info is true, some is false. The truth is somewhere in the middle.

My attitude has become so jaded over these last four years.

The only thing I’ve learned about sources over these last 4 years is that CNN is full of poop. They should not be allowed to broadcast. Fox News is much better but I still don’t believe everything they air either.

As a country we just have to do better.

I should know better but ...

The bolded part. I just can't fathom how someone could still vote for him after the horrible things he's said. That's all. That kind of behavior from a President, or anybody, is disgusting. It's like people say "Yeah, he said those things...they're horrible, but as long as he doesn't shut down the country, and as long as I'm doing well financially under him, I'm OK with the things he's said". Gross.

Man...we REALLY need some Sabres hockey and we need it soon. I'm as guilty as anybody when bringing up politics in here. Sorry. I just WISH the damn season would start so we can get back to talking about actual Sabres games.

Peace.

Fair enough, lol, most of them kinda hated him, too. Until the demos forced them to close ranks.
I hope your feeling that career politician Biden will be good at reaching across the aisle and fostering cooperation proves true. But then it will be interesting to see how the farthest left react to that, after Biden relied on their votes to be elected. Wonder how Biden will handle Antifa after he moves more to the middle and they begin to feel betrayed.
I just hope the atmosphere in this country somehow starts to improve.

I'm a centrist. My bet is that there are anywhere from 80-100 million of us who voted this election. The Far-left is fringe but we'll be seeing a heavy emphasis on them from the gop because it worked down ballot this election

Yes, kind of like how the demos try to scare us all about the far right white supremacists proliferating the country.
Did it work so well down the ballot for the gop because the country had just spent weeks watching antifa in action?

yeah...defund the police was a chunk of it...but i think the bigger chunk was "socialism" and how the gop defined it...look no further than florida...the cuban community has always been republican mainly because of their hatred for castro...there's also a growing group of displaced Venezuelans who remember a very prosperous time but watched their country erode under chavez and maduro, noted socialists...

these are all fresh memories and the gop tapped into them while helping trump win florida

socialism will continue to be the number one thing they use against the dems these next two years

As they should, with the influence that socialists seem to be gaining within the democrat party. Biden had trouble beating Sanders for the nomination, Hillary’s DNC had to pull (allegedly) shenanigans to do so. Biden’s choice of running mate was to ensure that bloc of the Party’s vote for him, as much as it was aimed at women and minorities.

yup...and there's the conundrum biden finds himself in...however, as some have pointed out in the news, he has an out...

if the gop retains control of the senate, biden has a built-in excuse to keep the far left in check because mitch and the gop will never go for a far-left, even far-left leaning, agenda no matter how much he reaches across the isle...any bill, as we've seen the last two years, that comes from the dem-controlled house will simply gather dust...

that said, i'd be very interested in seeing what would happen if the dems took both georgia senate runoff seats
