But it's free so it's a win, win.

I used to bowl in a league when I lived back home, it wasn't really a bowling league more like a drinking league where we occasionally threw a ball down a lane.

Our "banquet" involved having entertainment come to the lanes in the back bar area...one of my teammates glasses disappeared and then she put them back on his face...I was worried he was going to get herpes in his eye.

Dahlin? Elite? In this economy?

He's done NOTHING
To impress me
Can't score goals
Average
Don't pay him more than
Gurgs

- TheSabresTaco

100% agree.

Trade his over-rated arse to some stupid team like Toronto, who will overpay and we Sabres fans can piss ourselves laughing.

Dahlin for Vesey and a 2nd?

Not anymore.

Entertainment expenses are no longer deductible under Trump's tax code (i.e. the 2017 new tax law).

- buffalofan19

Ummmm...

Is this true?

I would have thought this would have been a franking nuclear explosion if proposed.

Prior to 2017, Meals and Entertainment were always only 50% deductible unless they were for the benefit or amusement for employees (i.e. a company holiday party). The 2017 Code changed that limitation to 50% on meals only, while entertainment expenses were 0%. In other words, if you take a client to a hockey game, the cost of the tickets are not deductible, but the food and beer you buy are 50% deductible. It's a small trade when you consider the Federal Corporate Tax rate was reduced from 34% to 21%.

Wow.

I can’t believe I didn’t know this - was it contentious when it was passed?

I really am gobsmacked here - I would have assumed owners would have vocally opposed this - although your point about corporate tax rate reductions is well taken.

I’m also wondering if owners simply lowered box rates while implementing a food and drink minimum.

I'd honestly feel bad about asking for a 2nd. Vesey is sick and vastly underpaid. You got yourself a deal.

Deaths are not reaching unprecedented levels. There will be mass hysteria, confusion and chaos once Biden takes office. This is not surprising.

If you were Dahlin, what would you want in terms of a contract? I find little motivation for him to agree to a bridge deal this offseason.

Rather, why not wait until next season after a year with Hall and Staal on the team to drive offensive production higher. I would think that would put the Sabres in a rather uncomfortable position knowing they would be motivated to prioritize signing him 1st, at a time they will have significant pressures to re-sign their stable of RFA/UFA's...Hall, Staal(?), Joker, Reinhardt, Ullmark, etc. He could play the wait game and build the pressure on Kevyn Krueger each day.

Just got a call from the Head Nurse at the Nursing Home my Uncle is at in Hamburg. They have 28 positives with the patient's and 9 workers. Thinking of pulling him out, but tough paralyzed from the waste down, not really set up for that, have to figure something out, don't want him getting sick.

Lmao, I bowled in a league like that, except for a couple of teams that took it very seriously. Mr PBA used to get all pissy cuz we were often slow to take our turn as we were busy drinking and bullish!tting. It was great fun to walk/wobble past the foot tapping Mr Serious, roll your ball and shred the rack. Then on your way back past him you’d call the pitch, Steeeeeee-rike!!! guy used to leave after the match all bent out of shape

That lost ball drive on 2 or 3 and making him take a stroke was a complete joke by the PGA and Augusta officials.

After that he was mad and rattled
