That kids an idiot, however, imo him and the rest of the naysayers are forgetting TT only played from the trade deadline on in the top six. That said, there’s a reason they went out and got another top six forward, because they needed one, and they still do.

At the end of the day you’re most likely going to see another bubble team trying to make the playoffs.

Totally agree.

Thats the biggest thing IMO. Will the young guys like Petey, Bo, Boeser, Hughes, Demko, Virtanen, Gaudette, MacEwen, Lind, OJ, Rathbone take steps forward and essentially replace what Marky, Tanev and Toffoli did?

Faith in the development of the youth/prospects

- Brooks_Light

It's just the Markstrom factor. TT played 10 games and was injured most of the PO's. Schmidt is a move up on Tanev. We have players in the system that can easily provide what we lost with Stecher. Leivo can be replaced as well. This 'step back' lol that's being predicted ALL hinges on Holtby/Demko's ability to keep up Marky's #'s and I think they can get close. We now have a Hart and Norris Trophy candidate on the club and it's all doom/gloom...

Who moves into top 6 this season? Loui, Jake, Pod?

Any idea why Foo Fighters Wasting Light album is 45 rpm?
- Load Management

Not sure usually they master all versions for LP now. Is the 45rpm one 200g? Not sure if there was a 33 1./3 - 180g pressing...

He has deleted many of his tweets about things the Canucks have done and what he would have done because he was wrong so much.

Him and others ranked 120 prospects last year for the NHL draft. 20 of them weren't even drafted.

They needed a top 6 forward because Leivo was hurt, Boeser was hurt. The Canucks with Toffoli would have been the top 8 team, without they are pretty much in the same place as last season 17th in the league and somewhere top 8 in the western conference.

We can mentally masturbate this issue until the cows come home. Lets see how this unfolds. I'm not drinking the Kool Aid yet with this team as it stands today.
- VanHockeyGuy

So what do you want - the Marky, Tanev, Stecher, Leivo, Toffoli contracts at the risk (high) that they be terrible/anchors in the long term??

Or that...

Demko, Schmidt, Holtby, OJ, MacEwen, Lind step in and replace them?

JB clearly chose the youth/less expensive option, so he's thinking long term/future cap implications.

In two years, when Eriksson, Sutter, Beagle, Edler, Benn, Roussel, Holtby, Pearson, are off the books - other than Myers - you'll potentially have an entire team under the age of 30. Not sure if thats good or bad but cap wise you'd have to think it's a big step in the right direction.

jake gets first crack which he will end up blowing and end up on the third line. louie will be top 6 for a while and then bounce around on the lineup and the pressbox. pod will get limited ice time and mostly on the 4th line. he'll be in and out of the lineup/pressbox.

as for the top 6, it won't be 1 player who fills the void. i see green giving different players cracks at the spot throughout the season. as the team stands, i don't see one player seizing it.

Seriously though this IS his shot to move up the lineup. It's go time.

This makes no sense, Goaltending 100%, but we barely had Toffoli last season, it was a strength before Toffoli joined.

I think it's 180. My Wife asked for it so I'm gonna snag it for her birthday. It's direct to tape through API 1608. So I'm really curious to hear it myself. Just the 45 rpm seemed odd and a misprint.

Goaltending - very much a high possibility that the new duo are not as good as Marky. BUT that's not guaranteed. So obviously he cant definitively state that.

Top 6 in scoring were Petey, JMT, BB, Pearson, Bo, Jake - last I checked all are still on the team so where's the step back?? What if those 6 improve on their point totals? Isn't there a real potential that they take a step forward??
Considering the fact that those 6 players have all improved their point totals the last few seasons....???? Seems more like common sense than fanboy defense.

So let me get this straight, anyone that defends or tries to see a positive aspect to the moves is a fanboy, rainbow and unicorn loving pom-pomer - in the meantime you're just gonna sit back and see how it unfolds BUT you'll also continue to criticize their opinions...???

That's him.

Could be like Bill here

This article is pretty embarrassing. I'm not sure if this guy knows that other teams in the league are trying to win also.
