What's it like posting speculative fantasy trades/signings without getting insulted and labelled ?

asking for a friend.

Yeah, it's too early right now. I don't like the idea of throwing the D kids to the wolves. I'd rather they made a good deal in lieu of signing a Hamonic for example.
- VanHockeyGuy

I don't really know what you mean by throwing the kids to the wolves? Like what do they need to do before they can be tested at the next level? Same as last year where they wait until someone gets injured? That didn't happen.

No one is asking these kids to play 22 minutes a night vs other teams top 2 lines.

Just asking for the simple progression in development plan, which is NHL game action.

Yup

Only on D will be a more difficult adjustment. Run 8 D & platoon so they learn easier.

"Their whole top 2 lines were dependent on Toffoli taking up that spot on the 1st line"?

He played 10 games. Not all 10 had him on that top line.

No wonder there's no author credited and the source is a nameless scout. Who would put their name beside that poop?

- boonerbuck

Yup.... as if losing a player who played 14 games total makes Bo's line any different... Boeser was out, Toffoli came in, no difference really.

Yup and only looks like 2 prospects could have shot to slot in to start out of camp. One middle 6F (Hogs) and one 3rd pairing D like OJ. Even if Chatfield/Rafferty make waives doubt Green will want 2 rookie D start.

Has the Zac Mac on Bo's line gone dead from his 15 game stint middle of last year?

All possible but you'd think Green would go with JV then Motte before Zacmac.

The season is going to be canceled... no point talking about a success story when we can fantasize about a 5 foot 8 player playing on our top line!

I see LE in again before Motte. TG likes his D if nothing else. Motte better suited bottom 6 but you never know. One more reason why Hoglander will get a chance.

Motte is bottom 6, JV, LE then Zach Mack, then Roussel, Podz, Hodz etc.... Motte isn't suited top 6. Imo

Geez I hope not with Eriksson, I am hopeful the guy has better options than putting Eriksson in the top 6.

Yes Motte is bottom 6, the most useful energetic player on the bottom 6. There may be times when his speed and energy may be needed on Horvat's line, but overall not likely very often.

JD Burke is a complete idiot.
Not sure how the top 6 has taken a step back, they had Toffoli for all of 14 games.

- Reubenkincade

Is the top six better, worse or the same at the start of the coming season than it was at the end of the previous season? Given that there are no more significant changes to come prior to the start of the season, which could obviously change.
