I think the NFL will finish their season.. Miami is allowed to have their stadium at full capacity if they want..

I would if the NHL and NHLPA would consider doing another bubble in host cities

- PatC80

Players and the families hated it though.

I would make the concession of allowing immediate family, if they so wished to be in the area. Don't know how you figure that one out logistically but something has to be allowed.

Disagree.

NFL has handed out hefty fines and begun penalizing teams with draft picks who willingly don't follow covid protocols.

They have figured out how to get around it. Teams are still playing and just playing without the infected or exposed player.

Pessimistic fans man.

Sports will go on. There may be games cancelled here and there but that’s expected.

I think the league and the fans liked it. I agree, maybe only allow for immediate family members and have them be tested daily.. They'll figure something out.. I think there is a meeting today between the PA and the league

Watching TSN5. Showing the groups.

They're destroying the greens. No bounces really after that rain.

- GreatGigInTheSky

I saw one earlier where Dechambeau’s ball was plugged on the green - barely visable.

Don’t look now, but a certain Canadian who owns a green jacket is playing well.

Fans yes.
league - probably on some level

It comes down to how much money will it cost owners to run hub cities? Divisional bubbles make sense so teams could play 24 - 30 games in a bubble and then have two plans. One being if covid lightens up to travel or two being what happens if the border stays closed or is too dangerous to switch.

Why add Jagr when you can add Maggie Smith

Fauci says vaccination begins in a few weeks. And that anyone who wants to be vaccinated should be by late April, latest.

I'd imagine the league likes the idea of breaking up the season in shortened Hubs in the hopes that by mid-season vaccination is wide-spread and restrictions are dropping.

It'll be a dystopian future where fans have to show they're fully vaccinated prior to entering arenas and venues.

Pfizer said they’ll be able to vaccinate 12.5 million Americans this year (everyone needs 2 doses and they expect to produce 50 million worldwide and up to 1.3 billion in 2021). Moderna and others using the same technology are thought to be not that far behind but who knows.

Ya, Moderna and AstraZ are speculated to be 2-3 weeks behind and b/c they use the same platform as Pfizer are expected to have similar results. Fingers crossed.

Canada has 20 milly pre-orders from each. Health Canada officials are all but standing in the production/testing labs reviewing results. I'm sure their pens are full of ink and ready to go.

Canada has rights to another 50 from Pfizer (same with others?). Moderna founder is a Leafs fan from Scarborough so????

The other big ? is whether Americans will actually take the damn thing.

If I don’t want to get the vaccine, can I choose to still have my dentist install the government tracking device in a molar?

Fitting your cellphone inside of a molar is a tall order

Moderna's should produce similar results and I really hope it does. It can be refrigerated for a up to a week without needing to be frozen and if it needs to be frozen, it can be kept at a much more manageable temperature than Pfizer's. That will make it easier to transport. Especially for developing countries that don't have the logistics to handle a transport it at -70C or whatever it is.

What we're going to start hearing about now (more loudly) is vaccine nationalism. The rich countries are pre-purchasing by contract to ensure they get most/all of the early releases.

WHO/COVAX set up to ensure a balanced global release. Canada dumped a bunch of money into COVAX but then went out and locked up their own purchases. Mostly because China and the US refused to sign on to COVAX.

Pitting the feds global accountability against its national mandate.
