well that sucks... I'm guessing it's an "organisme communautaire"? I worked in one for about 10 years, one of the nicest experience I've had but yeah most of the time the resources you have to work with are poop.
still, I'm glad to hear that you won't be staying until you reach a burnout, because I've seen a lot of people do it and it's just not worth it. you need to put yourself and your own mental health first before helping others. - Pat1993
The thing is that I was thinking about leaving to another organisme communautaire. I have to believe there are better places. I think the place where I did my internship was great, just that the bosss sucked big time. |

I really do
very convenient, very easy to use, and the cartridges I got (blueberry, and pineapple express lol) taste awesome. - Pat1993
i'm hoping that now that it's legal here, we will get a bigger variety of stuff. all i can really get in nj is flower, carts, bad edibles like lozenges, and tincture. i want wax and i want flavored carts, dammit!
kickbro lives in PA and told me moxie brand's flavored carts are terrible. so steer clear of moxie i guess.
EDIT: although i liked moxie's live resin. |

that changes everything. you need a boss that understands that what's expected of you is way out of proportion to what you're actually getting paid for, especially for that sort of job. I don't know all the specifics, but if you're not so happy with your current job and you feel there's a more positive experience waiting for you elsewhere, I say do it |

it would be pretty dumb if they legalized but the available products remained the same... then again I'm really not impressed with the dispensary we have in Gatineau, there's a bit of variety but the quality isn't that great imho. but if it's now legal in your state, you could order online from anywhere, no? |

it's not that bad
I mean, I don't work on fridays.
My sunday shif in genral is smoother. Same as evening shifts. So I don't mind them. It can get a bit wild during the day during the week. So at the end of the day, do you really want to work monday to friday during the day and go crazy because of it? Not sure.
And with the covid thing, having a more typical schedule is really less important right now. |

I never really saw me over there long term. It's the first job I got after I got my degree in social work. I had a hard time for a few months before that. At least it's a job you know? And it is in my field.
I was thinking about looking for something when 2021 will hit. Might do it earlier now after that meeting.

yeah I don't know how well you get along with your boss, team meetings are good but sometimes a little 1 on 1 talk can also go very far... it sucks but often people will only react after they feel a certain "threat". you don't have to say it that way, but you can still be honest about it and explain that you're simply gonna have to leave if things remain the same |

social work meetings are the absolute worse. i refused to attend after one director went on for nearly an hour about an item that she had the authority to just take care of herself.
I even tried tactfully to explain that she had control over her budget items. |

I've also unfortunately worked with people like that... your heart needs to be in the right place imo if you're working in a non-profit organization that's supposed to be helping the community

One is on pregnant leave (is that a thing?), another left for another job. They first hired two other staff. I think one got sick, half got back and now looks gone. Another went back to school. He's there sometimes. So yeah.
What she fails to see is that people are not staying because we get poop on while we don't have the means to do all the things she wish we did.
I'm not staying there untill I get a burnout. Even if you paid me well, I would chose to go. And I'm not paid well. - deadpoulet
