I'll be honest it's not so much about the injury, it has to do with his style of play..
I don't think he will be as effective in 3 years... Anderson is a good player that can put up 15-20 goals a season, but I don't see him as a top line winger.

I think it was Santo who said a few posts back that he felt Montreal had made themselves better in the short term, but he wasn't sure about the long term.
I tend to feel that way. I also agree about players like Anderson. All too often their style of play wears them down. If they don't end up as an LTIR casualty, their play just trails them off - like Lucic. He's only 32, but he's been pretty ineffective for the past 3-4 years.
Anderson's contract takes him to 32 with a modified NTC kicking in the season when he turns 27.
So specifically speaking, I like the Habs
this season more than I liked them last season - BUT - they signed Petry until he's 36. Weber was solid last year, but he is 35 and signed until he's 40. Price is signed until he's 38. Most of their best players are past their prime and still under contract for a while. Their future is currently largely resting on the shoulders of a couple of smaller young centres Kotkaniemi and Suzuki. I realize Kotkaniemi is 6'2 and listed at 180, but he's small looking. Maybe it's the same optics that surround Pettersson, but those guys have more physical development to do.
