I remember falling asleep in the dentist chair getting cavities filled. Being woken up after the dentist was finished.. Him laughing with my Dad. |

I had read a couple of days ago that the Canadian government believes that we are still on track for an approved vaccine in Q1 of 2021 - but that initial supply will be low, so they'll need to determine who will be the first recipients. - Monkeypunk
Absolutely. This vaccine requires two shots, three weeks apart and the vaccine itself needs to be stored and transported at ultra-cold temperatures so the logistics will be difficult. Still no word on how long the immunity lasts.
You could imagine front line medical workers, followed by people in long term care homes as first priorities.
The Moderna vaccine uses the same technology and isn’t that far behind. |

According to the Athletic about a week ago: Worst contracts in the NHL right now.
1) Drew Doughty (sorry UG)
2) Marc-Edouard Vlasic
3) Jeff Skinner
4) Ryan Johansen
5) Oliver Ekman Larsson
6) Nikita Zaitsev
7) Jacob Trouba
8) Justin Faulk
9) Mike Matheson
10) Josh Morrissey
Honorable Mention: Erik Karlsson, Brady Skjei, Kevin Hayes, Logan Couture and Tyler Myers.
Wonder if Loui Eriksson slipped the author a bribe? - winsix
Nah, it's just that once again, lucycncycnsnsycn uses a completely flawed model to write an article about something.

Should probably be:
Long term care home workers and residents
Immunocompromised
Front line medical
Essential workers
Restaurant and bar staff
The rest of us
That's my professional opinion |

No Goalie Bob, Price, Ladd, Lucic, Dekeyser, Nielsen, Stepan, Kessel, Getzlaf, Voracek, Subban, Okposo, Boychuk, Parise, Seabrook... - gergeswillems
How many years do all those players have left on their contracts?
Getzlaf for 8 million or Johanson for 40 million? Pretty easy decision |

So sour
How is it flawed? Do you not agree with the theory that 5 years of a bad player is worse than 1 year of a slightly worse player?
Especially in this climate. Spending 40 million on bad players is bad.

Why would I be sour? I'm not on the list am I?
It's not his first article that is questionnable at best because it's based on projected wins per money spent.
Are you saying you agree with the list? You'd rather have Brent Seabrook on your team with his current contract than Jacob Trouba?
To each his own I guess.. |

Maybe, but he doesn't mention it.
And since his model views these contracts as problems for the long term, it shouldn't matter I guess?
Either way, my opinion on the guy is well documented at this point.

Seabrook was #1 on last years list
1. Brent Seabrook, CHI
Contract: $6.875M x five years
Surplus Value: -$33.2M
Positive Value Probability: 0.1%
my guess is its something to do with ltir.

It's a good guess.
I don't see how that fits his general idea but it would make sense because he obviously should be on ANY list regarding bad contracts. He really should mention it if it's the case. |

Trouba is more valuable than Seabrook at this point in their respective careers, but a 7 yr deal at $8M for a guy that plays his style, that contract won't age well.. Similar to Josh Anderson's new contract.. |
