I don’t follow politics too much, but reading about the Biden family doesn’t give me much hope. Neither did Trump, so...same same. 🤷🏻‍♂️

He was traded for a conditional 5th, 50% retained, and failed to acquire that 5th rd selection. That is the player you added. Oh, and he doesn't appear interested in fighting/hitting anymore. Hopefully he has changed because the Simmonds from Philly, has been gone for years now.

Spezza still contributes alot considering his TOI. No issues there, I like what he brings to the leafs.

Thorton likely won't produce more then 25 points as a leaf, but his value is obviously in the locker-room, and leadership. Something this team was lacking. A no-brainer at that cap hit.

Losing Kapanen and Johnsson weakens your depth, but if your top 6 can remain relatively healthy, it won't hurt the team too much. Don't set you expectations too high on Joey Anderson. He's shown promise, but the guy can't skate.

Marincin should never see the ice again and hollowell is like, what, 5th on the prospect defense list right now? But yeah, they should play.

Whether you agree with the language or not, they voted for someone who spent four years implementing cruel racist policies and they were ok with it. I get all the economic anxiety and I agree that many of them have been screwed over for years but you don’t get an easy pass for that IMO.

I agree with Biden that this is a time to try to heal, etc, etc but that doesn’t mean ignoring the reality of what a vote for Trump in this election means.

Apparently that's how long he's been hurt for. Said he's actually healthy now, so I guess we'll see once the season starts.

I ain't expecting him to be as good as he was in his heyday or nothing but I do think he'll be better than he's been the past 2 or 3 years. And for $1.5M for one season, I'll take it.
