Guys, please... It's not like I have any say here at all but for the love of whoever you may believe or not believe in please stop with the constant trolling and feeding of the trolls.

This place is becoming unbearable. This used to be a fun place where we could talk and have at least a civil conversation and discussion about things. Now it's like walking into the Thunderdome waiting for the next argument to begin.

I have gotten to know a lot of you guys (and girls) on this site, and I have even met a few of you in person.

We don't have to agree (hell that would be boring) but would it kill anyone to be just a little more civil and decent? I know I am not innocent in it either and hell junior used to get a TON from me (come on we all know he loved any attention he got). But damn it we are now in a place where we know people have MULTIPLE accounts and we aren't talking just 2. It is getting ridiculous.

So before we get a MOD in here or someone gets appointed one, let's just try to not draw the attention of one and try to police ourselves and the only way to do that is to look in the mirror.

Now you can either agree with me or disagree with me I don't care either way, but if you were honest with yourself in the slightest you would agree that this place isn't what it used to be and it's become more a contest of who can p!ss off who the most.

Now that I am stepping down off my soapbox, Josh Allen is having an Elite season and even people from PFF are saying he is a top 5 QB!

The Sabres have 5 players in the top 75 in points over the last 5 years, and it was 70 degrees in November in Buffalo...

Where else would you rather be than right here, right now?

I'm new around here, but this post makes alot of sense.

Imagine how stressful this place would be if we didn't sign Hall and Girgensons this offseason?

Bill's 7-2 first time in 27 years............. Good vibes

I'm the new guy, but have a great feeling of Dahlin taking over the team next season. Best case senario, if they fail to make the palyoff's and have to trade Eichel, (demands a trade) We have that next superstar ready enter his prime.

Very likely, but he still did it. Most presidents would've tried to kill OBL too, but Obama is the one who had to actually do it.
- Wetbandit1

I don’t think someone should get credit for doing what anyone would do

Do u give GMTM credit for picking Eichel?

I like that they’ve taken their time in giving Dahlin icetime & responsibilities
This very well could be his breakout year,
I’m with ya

Having Hall & Cozens to get the puck up ice to won’t hurt either

i'm new around here, I thought everyone in Buffalo liked long term home grown prospects, that give all they have every shift? Everyone was so upset when Drury and Briere left as unrestricked free agents. You would guess a guy that had a fantastic season under the same coach, would be a beloved Buffalo icon.

He was our future captain just 6 years ago?

The talent is finally going to be on display, my one concern is that new players take some time to meld. Lot's of new faces and line combos' with a possibly shortened season.

An icon is a symbol. Icon comes to us from the Greek word eikenai, meaning "to seem or to be like." In certain religions, statues of religious figures are referred to as icons––because they are prayed to as if they were the thing they represent. ... Icon can also describe a person closely linked to an idea.

I certainly hope this wasn’t directed at me, I’m not white knighting for anyone and I certainly have never had an alternate account...

I’m just sick and tired of all the BS that this place has been bringing in. People hiding behind alternate accounts, all the damn trolling and feeding them which just encourages them to keep going.

I’ve said it over and over again, this place needs a block button or as someone has said before a “you’re an a$$ button”

- Stripes77

No, Stripes, it wasn't. It was more or less in response to your post, but also the back-reading from today.

Thanks for the lesson, you got a bobble head doll of Girgs or something. He hasn't come close to that shooting % since his second year. Hopefully he keeps bringing it to the table, still think he is overpaid by 700,000

I will even take this one step further and say you're literally the only person who posts on this blog who has the ability to be the moderator for it, and I'm actually shocked it hasn't been proposed before. I don't always agree with you, but you're one of the most level-headed people on here and seem to always come from a neutral place. You are a referee IRL and should be on here, too in all honesty.

True, could take time for guys to get on the same page & develop chemistry

Tough to say right now how long the season will be, we’ll have to see what happens there

I"m new so i respect your opinion still.

My cousin was recently accused of having a girgensons bobble head in his sweatpants. Crazy world we live in. Everybody knows sweatpants are not form fitting? How would a bobblehead stay in his pants for an entire game at the arena? How would he sneak the bobble head in undetected?

The definition of an icon is a graphic representation of something, a person or thing that is symbolic or is a noted figure. An example of an icon is a beautiful celebrity who is the best example of the western ideal of beauty.

All'stars do tend to get paid based on their league wide popularity. They are voted into the all-star game by fans voting. My understanding is, votes come in from overseas as well. It's kinda a big deal. Girg's touched alot of lives over his career.

I get the idea that the season is still going to be in some bubble format.

Between 4 and 6 hub cities.

Mini-tournament style splits in the season.

Something like 15 Games in january in a bubble type atmosphere
2 weeks off
15 more games mid feb-mid march
2 weeks off
15 more games
April and May

Playoffs

Yeah he's noted for losing, and not doing much to change that the the last 5 or so years. He should have touched more lives somewhere else. But he is here so hopefully he can bring some of last year and help get us over the homp.

I guess his cousin carries his Girgs Lion Eater Bobble head in his pants to sneak it into the arena to bring Girgs luck.

My cousin did have 1 security guard inquire just this past season. Made for an even MORE uncomfortable evening.

"Is that a girgensons bobble head in your sweatpants or are you just happy to see me?"

After the game, every Sabre signed the bobblehead, except one player. That player was Never voted to an allstar game. Probably never will be.

I'm new around here, must be an inside joke? Thankfully Mr. Fitz let me know last night that there are some trolls to be weary of.

The best part around here, is the sense of pride each poster puts forth daily. Lot's of considerate poster's. Occasionally some locker room chat i guess?

Sounds like a great non combative gentleman? Reminds me of a:

A person who employs or superintends workers; manager. a politician who controls the party organization, as in a particular district. a person who makes decisions, exercises authority, dominates, etc

Have a great night everyone!
