Any actual Sabres news lately? I remember reading a week or 2 ago on here (Buff36, maybe?) some Calgary and Arizona rumblings. Are those rumors dead or still possibly in the works?

I heard last week Buffalo and Arizona were still keeping lines open, I still think Kuemper is a Sabre before the season starts. Take it for what it's worth but Mitts has hurt certain opportunities.

Who knew that we have so many Distribution experts on here who have read the President's distibution plan to be able to weigh in appropriately. Although, there must be different versions since some believe the Military will administer the vaccine's themselves rather than be the logistics arm

Cuomo shows his true colors ... everything Trump says I must oppose....except when he fvcks up, then he is quick to pass the buck. Despicable person...but speaks very eloquently. He sounds like a complete ass to me...and by the number of people fleeing NYS, I might be right.

From what I have read and heard, development of the vaccine was fast-tracked by invoking Emergency provisions to speed the review/decision processes (not so much the scientific formulation and testing processes). So, to that extent, I would think the sitting President would get representative credit.

Personally, I am a little skeptical with any new drug as far as the long-term impacts go, same with this vaccine and the next version...I'll probably wait a bit and still be weary when I decide to get it in ~12 months.

Yeah they aren't gonna give it, but they will move it to the different states I believe and that's why I said Hancock and Carney, could be wrong

Trump urged his voters to vote in person, which they did. Many Biden voters mailed their votes in. In many places, the in-person Trump votes were read first, giving the illusion of a major victory. It's that simple. Here's a snippet from a good article I just found :

"The dynamic of the night was a curious and artificial one. Biden had urged his supporters to cast mail-in ballots. Trump had called on his voters to turn up in person. In many places, these Trump votes were being counted first, giving the impression of an insurmountable lead. Was this real, or the much talked about “red mirage”?

In the East Room of the White House, Trump and his supporters were upbeat. Then, a little before midnight on Tuesday in Washington, Fox News called Arizona for Biden. This was a major blow to Trump’s re-election hopes: the first flip of a state won by Trump in 2016. The president was furious. He dispatched his son-in-law Jared Kushner to remonstrate with Rupert Murdoch. To no avail.

Trump reportedly spent the next few hours ringing Republican governors. At 2.30am he gave a presidential briefing. It was everything his adversaries had feared: an angry and unfounded riff in which he accused the Democrats of fraud. Trump claimed – wrongly – that he had won the election. He suggested the supreme court would intervene. “This is an embarrassment to our country,” he said, to cheers from his family and friends.

The grim scenario, which Trump had been carefully preparing for months, was now being played out on the nation’s TV screens. The president’s argument – that mailed-in votes for Biden amounted to cheating – was untrue".

so you'd be happier if a vaccine was announced after jan 21 rather than now?

that's what this all boils down to. nothing more. nothing less. that's what cuomo said.

seriously. I'm not fighting with you. I am happy there's a vaccine. I hope you agree.

- TheHank

What are you talking about? I never commented on Cuomo and expressly stated I'll read the quote in context when i get to it.

I can't remember if I knew about this:

Former race car driver sentenced to 10 years in prison for stealing from NHL players, others

A former race car driver was sentenced Tuesday to 10 years in prison for stealing millions from NHL players Michael Peca and Bryan Berard, Suffolk County police officers and other investors through bogus transactions that stretched from Sag Harbor to Mexico.

U.S. District Judge Joseph Bianco said Tommy Constantine, of Scottsdale, Ariz., had yet to take responsibility for his crimes, nor had he begun paying back his victims, including blue-collar workers who will never be able to fully recoup their losses.

"You needed money and you took their money," Bianco said in federal court in Central Islip. "There is no mystery. … You suffered no injustice. You are guilty."

The former race car team owner briefly took off his mask and put his head on the defense table as the sentence was read. He will also serve three years supervised release and was ordered to pay $5.2 million in restitution to his victims and to forfeit $8.5 million in assets......more
