Well put !

Going to sort of change gears here. The most upsetting thing to me about all of this, is that people - a LOT of people - still follow and vote for this despicable human (?) being. 70 million people are OK with his MANY sexist statements over the years (if you can't recall all of them, Google it). Disgusting. Voters for Trump ought to be ashamed of themselves. I've said it before : If ANY of us said just one of the horrible, disgusting things he's said, we'd be fired, asked to resign, or be forced to resign - we would be unemployed. Yet this awful person somehow became President, still gets votes, still has people brainwashed into following him. It's amazing really. People are more concerned with their money (I guess ? That's the only thing I can think of as to why anyone would vote for him), than human decency and morals. What if he said some of those things to your mother, wife, or daughter ? Would you still vote for him ? If so, you need to re-evaluate your life, as you are a horrible person too. What's that ? You don't care about those horrible things he's said ? You disgust me.

I remained quiet for a substantial portion of this discussion...but...
Kitter, shut the (frank) up.
Yup, 70,000,001 voters are smart as hell, have everything figured out, and are right on every issue.
Yet 70,000,000 voters are complete asswipes and discusting human beings. Get a clue dude. His Policies and Results across many, many areas are historically good.
You voted against something...good for you, it is your right.
Most of the 50% who voted for Trump voted for Policy and Results and realize no one got it right on The Pandemic. Did we also vote against the ultra left wing wackos overrunning your prideful party...absolutely yes to that too.
Could he have done better with it, sure...did he have support in an election year from Demo leadership...HELL NO.
I leave you with this thought...the Demo's started to plot a plan to unseat Trump before he was even elected and flip-flopped on issues only because it was the opposite of Trumps stated direction...Imagine if they could have been actual adults and worked like they were elected to, to make the country better instead of vocally and visually dividing the country. The Demo leadership are equally at fault if not more so...for 4 years they threw gas and matches every step of the way
I suspect the Clown is right in that I can see Reps taking a very hardline with Joe...and no one from the Left should object after their 4 year poop show.

Let's hope Deadman Walking can get 'er done for America...if not Kamal will represent you all well!

Probably in the minority, but I have a really good feeling about the Bill's game tomorrow, or maybe because I had a great wake and bake this morning. But really I think Allen has a huge day. Seahawks are 29th in the league against Play Action and Allen excells in it. Think the defense gets a few needed stops and 2 big turnovers, Bill's 34

Quick question - Is America great yet ? What's taking so long ? I would think maybe after 2, maybe 3 years Trump would have made America great, but no, it's 4 years now and he's made America the exact opposite of great. He's failed.

Also, other countries HAVE figured out Covid-19. Australia, New Zealand, and even China has figured it out. Why can't the Trump administration ? (answer : he's more concerned about being re-elected). And to bad-mouth Fauci ??? What the hell ? Also, you just can't say "grab 'em by the p*ssy" and get away with that - and that's just ONE example of him disrespecting women (there are MANY more). Again, we'd all lose our jobs if we said just ONE of those horrible things. Why can't you see that ? Do the women in your life know that you are OK with voting for and supporting this sexist ? And how about that "stand down stand by" quote on the white supremacists. Yeah...what a great guy.

Anybody who backs him needs to do some soul-searching and needs to re-evaluate their lives.

You need to go study Uncle Joe, he ain't exactly Mr. Clean cut. And countries are figuring it out, most of Europe is on lockdown or restrictions. America is what you make of it, that's why immigration is so bad cause people want to come to the land of opportunity. Funny how people bring up is America great, go spend some time in Iraq or Afghanistan or a 3rd World country and then tell me what you think then.

some good points and some not so good, but well thought out and laid out...

a few non-inflammatory things:

--hillary won the popular vote by close to 3M and an argument could be made that many trump voters voted against her out of pure disdain for her

--upon entering the white house, trump had both houses of congress on his side yet only passed two pieces of legislation--the tax cut and elimination of the aca's individual mandate

--everyone had issues with the novel coronavirus early on from scientific ignorance of what it was and how it spread...however, to dismiss science later on for political gain, e.g. the mask wars, is unconscionable at least and a direct, potentially deadly threat to humans at worst...that's not even arguable

--of course dems planned on taking trump down from the get-go, just as he said fron the time he took office that he was running for reelection...

--trump did everything he could (which was quite admirable from a campaign perspective) to get his base out and he succeeded...a good portion of his votes also came out of fear that "socialism" was rearing it's ugly head...however, that wasn't enough

--the pres got beat by soon to be president elect "dead man walking" in the popular vote and the democratic machine out-dueled the trump and his machine in the electoral college...it was (and still kind of is) a fascinating election and, imo, a tribute to how a democracy should work...and that includes dumping trump and not allowing the dems full reigns on legislation (although the AK senate race has not been determined and there will be two GA senatorial run-offs)

And others just vote party line, no matter if it's Mickey Mouse or Shrek. On both sides.

And then there's the rest of us who see the value in some of "both sides" ideals and ideas.

Just read Joe Buscaglia's article from the Athletic.
He predicted a 31-30 Bill's win largely based on:
-Josh and the WRs having a big game
-running game providing much needed support , especially with play action passes
-Bills D containing the Seahawks in the Red Zone...turn several opportunities into FGs rather than TR's
...of course, the D needs to keep completions to the underneath areas and then actually make some tackles.

Hopefully Hyde Poyer can get an interception or two when Wilson tries the long ball over the top

the dumbocrats actually did quite well...they needed as many votes as they could get from every corner of their coalition, which is where harris came in

think about it, she's a woman, she's part black, part indian and progressive...you're hitting four blocks of voters with one swing...i'm interested to see how millenials and gen z affected the election...i think it will show that it was a big plus for the dems and the harris pick was a big part of that

Kritter, You asked.
Well, for ME it really is all about POLICY for the United States of America … not against something, but rather for real actions taken and real results achieved…accomplishments.

Here is my summary of why I have already placed my vote for Trump:

I) Help for the poor, underprivileged and minorities:
Here are the facts concerning Trump and the African American community as reported by Farah Stockman, member of the editorial board of the New York Times.
• African Americans benefit because unfortunately many, according to Associated Press research cited in 2018 by USA TODAY, are in low-paying jobs…the lowest-paid 25% of Americans had a 4.5% income boost in November 2019, outpacing gains for the country’s highest-paid workers.
• Pre COVID-19,
§ African American unemployment was at an all-time low.
§ Hispanic-American unemployment is at the lowest rate ever recorded.
§ Asian-American unemployment recently achieved the lowest rate ever recorded.
§ Women’s unemployment recently reached the lowest rate in 65 years.
§ Youth unemployment has recently hit the lowest rate in nearly half a century.
§ Lowest unemployment rate ever recorded for Americans without a high school diploma.
§ New unemployment claims hit a 49-year low.
• Median household income hit highest level ever recorded.
• Under President Trump, 7 million people have come off food stamps.
• The Pledge to America’s Workers has resulted in employers committing to train more than 4 million Americans.
• Trump signed the first Perkins C.T.E. reauthorization since 2016, authorizing more than $1 billion for states each year to fund vocational and career education programs.
• Under Trump, poverty rates for African Americans and Hispanic Americans reached their lowest levels since the U.S. began collecting such data.
• Trump signed the groundbreaking First Step Act, a criminal justice reform bill that made our justice system fairer and helps former inmates return to society.
§ More than 90% of those benefitting from the retroactive sentencing reductions in the First Step Act are African Americans
§ The First Step Act’s reforms addressed inequities in sentencing laws that disproportionately harmed African Americans, and reformed mandatory minimums that created unfair outcomes.
• Removed the onerous Penalty for individuals who are unable to pay for Health Insurance, saving individuals thousands of dollars

II) Put America First / Economic Improvement
From an economic standpoint, the Trump administration has made great strides.
• Under Trump’s leadership, in 2018 the U.S. surpassed Russia and Saudi Arabia to become the world’s largest producer of crude oil.
§ During 2020, Trump negotiated with Russia and Middle Eat Oil suppliers to reduce Oil production to stabilize the oil industry …directly preserving American jobs while keeping fuel prices low
• The Trump administration made a deal with the European Union to increase U.S. energy exports to Europe.
• It withdrew the U.S. from the job-killing Trans-Pacific Partnership, a major change in trade policy.
• The Trump Administration secured $250 billion in new trade and investment deals in China and $12 billion in Vietnam.
• It approved up to $12 billion in aid for farmers affected by unfair trade retaliation, but announced a total of $28 billion in aid for farmers in 2018 and 2019.
• Since Covid 19 arrived from China, the economy is now recovering. The pace of the recovery is slowed by Democrat run states not opening their economies. Why can’t we do both??

III) Protect our Borders
President Trump is fulfilling his promise to build a border wall, with an expected 450 miles will be finished by the end of 2020.
The new wall has contributed to a 56% overall decrease in the number of illegal migrant arrivals at the border.
Under President Trump, the U.S. Border Patrol has arrested hundreds of members of dangerous gangs.
The Administration has made it a priority to end human trafficking and is using many resources to do so.
The Administration provided funding to support the National Human Trafficking Hotline.
The Anti-Trafficking Coordination Team (ACTeam) initiative more than doubled convictions of human traffickers and increased the number of defendants charged in ACTeam districts.
40 missing woman and children were rescued from human trafficking operations outside of Atlanta
In April 2017 the FBI arrested 150 pimps and rescued more than 100 exploited teenagers involved in sex trafficking. Taken together, the raids, which took place in more than 70 cities, constitute the largest FBI action focused on finding sexually exploited children.
RICHMOND, Texas – Dozens of people involved in human trafficking in Fort Bend County have been arrested and charged in a sting, authorities said. According to authorities, “Operation Patriot” took place over four days in September and was a collaborative effort between 23 agencies and resulted in the rescue of five victims and 46 arrests.

IV) Foreign Policy
President Trump received three separate nominations for the Nobel Peace Prize …Contrary to the 2016 fearmongering, President Trump has not initiated war with any other country.
• The United States has successfully decimated ISIS.
• Under President Trump, the number one terrorist leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi was taken out.
• President Trump ordered the killing of Qassem Soleimani, the head of Iran’s elite Quds Force and an evil, ruthless, and deadly terrorist.
• President Trump fulfilled his promise to name Jerusalem Israel’s capital city and moved the U.S. Embassy
• President Trump held two historic summits with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, further demonstrating the Administration’s commitment to a denuclearized Korean peninsula.
• President Trump withdrew the U.S. from the Iran Nuclear Agreement and instituted the toughest sanctions in history to drive the regime’s oil exports to zero.
• Secured the release of a dozen hostages

IV) Energy
· The United States of American has become energy independent.
· By supporting Fracking, the United States is now a net exporter of cheap natural gas for the first time since 1957.
· From the Wall Street Journal: “Energy-related CO2 emissions in the U.S. fell 2.8% last year. The U.S. saw the largest decline in energy-related CO2 emissions in 2019 on a country basis due to a 15% reduction in the use of coal”

VI) Treaties
· Facilitated treaties between Israel and two Middle East countries.
· Moved the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem.
· A U.S.-Mexico-Canada Trade Deal to replace NAFTA.
· An agreement with the E.U. to increase U.S. exports.
· Imposed tariffs on China in response to China’s forced technology transfer, intellectual property theft, and their chronically abusive trade practices.

VII) Healthcare

Provided more affordable healthcare options for Americans through association health plans and short-term duration plans. They will cover pre-existing conditions
Preserving the 180M health plans provided by employers
Many drug companies are freezing or reversing planned price increases.
Reformed the Medicare program, saving seniors hundreds of millions of dollars this year alone.
In response to China’s efforts to spread COVID-19, not in China, but worldwide, China citizens were stopped from entering the USA. it is estimated that there would have been death numbers in the millions.

In addition to the accomplishments above, I am also voting for ideals with which I align with and not for one person, I'm voting for the future of my Country…these United States of America
(these are copy/pasted from the aforementioned post)
• I'm voting for the First Amendment and freedom of speech.
• I'm voting for the right to speak my opinion & not be censored.
• I'm voting for the Second Amendment and my right to defend my life and my family.
• I'm voting for the next Supreme Court Justice(s) to protect the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.
• I’m voting for the continued appointment of Federal Judges who respect the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.
• I’m voting for a return of our troops from foreign countries and the end to America’s involvement in foreign conflicts.
• I'm voting for the Military & the Veterans who fought for this Country to give the American people their freedoms.
• I’m voting for continued peace progress in the middle east.
• I'm voting for the Electoral College & the Republic we live in.
• I'm voting for the Police to be respected once again and to ensure Law & Order.
• I’m voting for secure borders and legal immigration.
• I’m voting to fight against human/child trafficking.
• I’m voting for Freedom of Religion or freedom from religion.
• I'm voting for school choice for my children and my grandchildren to ensure their freedoms and their future.
• I’m voting for the continued growth of my retirement 401k and the stock market.
• I’m voting for a return to economic prosperity while protecting those at high risk of contracting and suffering from Covid-19…I believe we as a country can do both…NOT either or
(Author unknown) asked.

It is going to be interesting to see how that goes, think it will be Miller or Borgen. The Sabres are in a decent position for the Expansion Draft.

yet sleepy joe beat trump...that's an embarrassing...he might just leave the country
- Michael Pachla

Dems should’ve been able to run the reprehensible character Trump out of town on a rail, though. They spent four years plotting his demise, they had the media doing all in their power to disparage Trump along the way. They made it a neck and neck race by propping up sleepy joe to run. They really made it much closer with their silence, and the approval it implied, over the looting and rioting and the (frank) the Po-lice movement. Many people who were ready to dump Trump thought twice after watching the radical side of the Dems seeming to hold so much sway in the Party. That the bigoted, sexist, arrogant, worst human ever, Trump was so close to winning again is more of a knock on the Democratic Party. I think a great number of votes, on both sides, were more of a vote against the other guy than truly backing the candidate voted for.

Very well thought out, just want things to work out, there's good and bad on both sides of the platform.

here would be my approach if i were sleepy joe..i'd bring in the major congressional players, sit them down and say, "look, nancy, mitch, i've known both of you a very long time and, quite frankly, we're too old for this bickering poop. We need to get something done right now on the relief plan. Mitch, you got your court appointees and Nancy you got your house now it's time to get for 'muricans. Hammer this relief plan out now and make it veto proof. Kamala, get in touch with AOC and make sure she doesn't get all spastic on social media. Chuck. Step back and stfu for a while. You can be very annoying in your partisanship."
