Get a grip. Everything that happens in the vote counting process is overseen by representatives of both parties. There are Republicans there. None of this poop is real. But keep believing everything that Trump and Bergevin say.

The Republican Party lost any claim on the moral high ground a long time ago. For decades it has stood for policies that let a few economic crumbs trickle down from the tables of the rich. They have undermined environmental protections, opened up vulnerable areas for oil and gas drilling, weakened worker protections and sold out health care to the medical insurance industry.

They’ve known for decades that their political base is eroding and have tried to hold onto power through voter suppression techniques.

These all pre-date Donald Trump. Trump brought an additional anti democratic and more overt racist element that many of them found distasteful and some saw as dangerous to their long term interests.

But none of them did a thing. One person in the Senate voted to impeach him even when it was obvious he had committed impeachable crimes.

I consider the US as a underdeveloped country anyways (no social security, bad public education, bad public healthcare, public infrastructure mediocre, etc. etc.), so I guess I shouldn't be surprised by the banana republic style elections.. (in particular the nevada counting 'developments' are very dodgy imo).

Which means they get to vote on Election Day. They mark their ballots, put them in the mail by the third and they are delivered and counted. These rules were passed by mostly State legislatures who are responsible for setting the rules. Most of the states that have allowed mail in voting have allowed for this in the past. This is a normal practice.
