The look my 14 yr old gave me when I told him about waiting 6 hours to eat meat after dairy.
Jewish culture just makes me smile.
I need to go watch some Mel Brooks right now. - The Law

I don't care much for the arbitrary culinary rules but bagels, lox, smoked meat, salad for breakfast, matzo ball soup, sign me up |

Not a fan ....but bacon, pork belly, ribs, shrimp, etc ...couldn't do it.
I'm going home to watch Spaceballs or Blazing Saddles and eat bacon. I feel like he'd respect that. |

I find that Blazing Saddles just doesn't do it for me anymore.
Spaceballs is still good.
For a lot of these movies, it's probably better that you don't re-watch them - just remember the funny bits, and forget the long stretches of awfulness.
And boy oh boy, does that ever ring true for Rocky. Running up the steps is great. The fight scenes are great. And then there's about an hour and fifty minutes of the slowest, worst dialogue schlock ever. |

If you didn't re-watch him would he still be overated?
I feel like that's the problem with going back and watching.
This Jewish celebration we're having makes me want to go find some episodes of Bizarre or Ant v. Andvark from the early 80's. John Byner was probably the first comedian I loved watching. But I'm guessing if I watched him now I'd be ..meh.
Bizarre ...was so good for young boy back in the day.

His direct competition at the time was Dave Allen, and even as a kid - while he was much lower energy - I remember finding Dave Allen much more clever and funny. |

For me, yes. I don't think I ever loved Gene Wilder... not the way I've loved Peter Sellers since I was a child. |
